Highly recommend 👌 Normal food but so expensive. For the wors part was the photo there about their restaurant. The photo was from the building with the swastika symbol flag. I shocked and I still think why they put that photo there. It is not better to hide this part of the history? I know this place since my early childhood, but my last visit before this recent one was years ago. The dishes served are far more elegant than back in the 70ies to 90ies, but still match the expectations one has on such a countyside very well. The foods quality is great. The interior decoration has changed to the better. Hardly any dead animals on the walls anymore (and none in the area where we were seated). I recommand a reservation. Parking space is available, but the parking on the opposite side of road may proof to be a bit uncomfortable when it's snowing or raining. If you feel like going there high-heeled, keep in mind to bring an extra set of shoes. Just saying. The setting is lovely — it feels like an old-style hunting lodge, complete with animals outside that you can feed, which adds a really nice touch. Inside, the is spacious with several seating areas, and the staff direct you where to sit when you arrive. The menu is very traditional and heavily meat-based, offering plenty of classic German dishes, with a couple of vegetarian options as well. Everything looked hearty and authentic. Although I didn’t specifically ask for an English menu, we were speaking in English and only saw a German menu available. Luckily, there were people in our group who could translate.
