Centro Hípico Del Sur - Very large space and nice place, especially for children. Restaurant, horses, free parking. Next to tennis and paddle courts. Possibility to go riding. Nice place. Extremely nice horses, there is also a small terrace where you can take something to eat and drink. I give 4 because tour on is on a dusty runway and for 30 minutes they walk you 3 times the same path. Is place for ridding would be different it would a five star. Great for kids and adults. I recommend this for ridding and take lessons of ridding. Teacher was very disappointing, all levels ride together. My 2 daughters are quit experienced but rode together with absolute beginners. They us that the teacher would adapt to the level but he just stood there talking to other people. were tired my daughter. Accommodation is good. This is by far the worst equestrian center O have ever been to. First impressions were good. They had big arenas and space so I signed up for a lesson. They me to come at 5:30 but when I got there they me I was late. They say they speak English but they really don't, it was so unorganized and confusing because they kept sending me to different people and places. Finally my came there (we did not get to brush them) They were tall but abnormally skinny. They rushed us to get on, yelling at me in Spanish. The stirrups were way too short and they me I couldn't make them longer because the was small (which it was not at all). With no warm up for the the the began with trotting around the arena. 130 minutes of trotting in the same direction behind one another. No teaching only the teacher occasionally yelling at us to go faster. I have been for 6 years and I was disgustingly disappointed. They don't treat the animals well. They are kept in small boxes. They all have no energy and are used for multiple lessons after one another. Never coming back here and I don't advise you to either. A fantastic place to take the children with plenty of to ride on and a nice place for kids birthdays. We had a lovely afternoon there. The kids loved it. I had private lessons in english with Ulrika. The best teacher I have ever had. Also well educated and safe horses. My kids had a great time. Reasonable price and wellcared horses. Wonderful and genuine place! It is fun with a nice café, inexpencive rides and beautiful horses. I just moved to Tenerife a few weeks ago and having 6 years of experience I decided to have a look at some stables. My equestrian education background is heavily english and german riding, so you can imagine the high quality of lessons I had experienced previously. So imagine my excitement when I saw the amazing land, infrastructure and especially gorgeous this place has. I immediately booked a at the office. Now here was my first red flag. The lady seemed very disinterested in helping us book a and didn’t even ask for our names or anything , just handed us a piece of paper and us to come at 5:30. I brushed it off, thinking nothing of it. The day of our comes, we arrive and it turns out we’re “late” because they failed to properly inform us of the we needed to be there so we did not get to groom and saddle the horses, instead were rushed onto the not 2 minutes after we arrived. We began the with your standard trotting, only these trotting rounds lasted about the entire hour, where we did not even do figures in the arena. Furthermore, the had more than 10 people taking part, mostly small beginner children, not even taking into consideration the different levels of experience different riders have. In fact, we only rode in a single file line the entire time, meaning that absolutely no individual is taught, meaning that you don’t properly learn to control a at this school. Sure, we cantered a couple rounds, but that was about the only positive take away from this experience. The teacher was seated in the corner of the arena the entire time, completely disinterested, and just shouting out the occasional “use the stick” or “legs legs” which obviously didn’t really help. Additionally, when we booked this we had clearly stated that we only speak english, so having a teacher speak spanish the entire sure didn’t help our cause as we had no idea what we were supposed to be doing the entire time. I am disappointed to say that I learned nothing from this experience except that I am never coming back here again. You can tell that the organization does not care about the program at all. When it was to get off the were immediately handed over to another group of riders, not giving them to rest and recover. I may be reading into this one too much, but it gives me a slight impression that they don’t seem to care for the well-being of their horses. I really had hoped that this stable would be the one, but am very disappointed to say it couldn’t be further away from it. I don’t recommended coming here for lessons at all, as I fully think it is a total waste of money. Thank you for taking the to read my honest review of this place, and I hope you take my experience, among several others with similar ones into consideration when booking with this center.
