Service. Bad. Starting with booking. We tried to book a online for 3 people for the dinner (at 16 o’clock) and the only time available for the same day was 21-00. We went without a booking (to 18-30) and the was almost empty. At least 5 tables were available for group of 3 people. Why they were unavailable online? Who knows… After we stepped in nobody welcomed us. We were just standing and waiting and nobody cared about it. 5 minutes later we practically got seated by our own, while 2 waitresses were having lunch at the corner and paying no attention for customers. Our order was taken by the bartender. After that different person brought wine we ordered, another one brought the food and the third one brought the check. ————————————————— Food. Good but far from great. Tastes like something your aunt could cook. Nothing with flair, so not the true level. All we tried had not enough flavor, or even salt. Very simple, even cod served in the very intriguing cover but taste like just cod fried in a pan without any additional ingredients. If you fancy simple homemade food that might be your right choice. If you’re expecting from the food something a bit more than what you can cook in your own kitchen, can’t recommend. This is a very good with horrible service. I booked a in advance, and once we arrived, we were told to step outside and wait outside for ~10 minutes. The waiter was always in a rush, and we were always catching him to order something. We were waiting for our drinks for ~15 minutes (we ordered a bottle of wine and water). It was tough to catch any waiter. I hope they'll hire more staff. The food was excellent though This place is amazing, food is out of this world, wine list is suberb. I don’t know what was off with the service. 2 servers managing the place, where they short staff or maybe homophobia was of an issue? Younger server night of 14th Jan at least showed remorse of the service. Food was amazing however. I would definitely be back for the food. Fresh and delicious 😋 Best patatas bravas I ever had. And that's just the beginning. We had amazing gambas, grilled octopus, pork stew, mussels and many more! The service was just brilliant, our servers were kind, helpful and professional. If you're looking to genuine Spanish food, please give this one a go. This was highly rated on Google so we headed here one night whilst in the area. We didn't book which was our first mistake so we waited outside for 15 mins until a became available. Once seated the service was extremely slow. We waited over 20 mins for a menu there only seemed to be one waiter actually dealing with customers the others were just running food and drinks. A couple who were seated at the same time as us were served drinks and their first lot of food before we even got menus. Once we finally got served we ordered a range of and then waited over 30 mins for two of the four tapas to come. They were okay. We had the cod covered in squid ink and the garlic prawns which weren't garlicky at all. We had also ordered bread which we had to ask twice for. It then took another 30 mins for the next 2 to arrive which were potato bravas which was below average and the stuffed peppers. They were tasty but the portions on everything was small for the price. It was very busy and very noisy inside which was fine but overall the wasn't something I would want to do again. Very expensive for it is. This place was crazy busy when we arrived and I understand why! What incredible food! Typical Spanish styled cuisine with pulpo, camarones and tortilla, the waitress recommended we have it lightly done and that was a delicious I had not until that moment realized was possible. Additionally, my partner and I went on to digestivo once our plates were cleared. Again the waitress gave a recommendation for Romero with a lemon and by far extremely happy we went with her choice. Lovely place, waitress’ (with the pink hair) recommendations were super welcomed and perfect! My advice is book in ADVANCE. After visiting Mamut last night we went to this following their recommendation as it’s a member of the group. We were yet again blown away by the understated perfection of each of the dishes. The Iberian pork starter was awesome, some of the best we’ve had on the island. Our waiter had an affectionate chatter that enhanced the whole experience. The applesauce served with the secret/special pork really set off the dish in a way that elevated rather than over sweetened. The garlic prawns were also perfection and the perfect size for my appetite. The dark chocolate dessert we shared, it was very sweet but nonetheless delicious. We were incredibly fortunate to secure an early evening reservation but this place filled up quick and Reservations are definitely a must if you want to get a as we saw many other diners turned away who will walk-ins. We had the pleasure of dining at Taberna Tío Martín, and it was truly an unforgettable tasting authentic Spanish food. We ordered homemade croquetas, salmorejo, grilled octopus, peppers stuffed with lamb and goat meat. Everything was absolutely delightful. The true highlight of the meal was the goat meat, which was as one of the waiters referred an “opera” of the food. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, it stood out as one of the best meat I’ve ever had. Testament of how to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The dessert had more to be desired. Taberna Tío Martín is a must visit for anyone looking to the best of Spanish and Canarian cuisine. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu! Highly recommended. Oxtail was really decent. Octopus was okay but I’m not a huge fan of coarse salt. Sadly the garlic prawn was overcooked and tasted too firm. Outdoor area is nice and chill. Overall not a bad choice. Fantastic dining here this evening. We didn't book ahead as we only just happened to be in the area, but were still able to be accommodated. Location was questionable at first glance but we shouldn't have worried. The and its terrace are set well back from the road and at a lower level, creating its own calm and chill vibe. Service was warm, welcoming and attentive. Ordered some Sangria to share, which arrived quickly and was cool, light and refreshing. Whilst the menu may not be as large as other tapas restaurants, it still presented us with the same old problem of wanting everything on it. Standout dish for me was the artisan chorizo with padron peppers. Combined with the garlic prawns, this made the most tasty surf n turf mouthful. My daughters particularly enjoyed the oxtail croquettes and the perfectly cooked octopus. I wish we were staying in Tenerife longer, just so we can tackle more of the items we didn't get to order. Will definitely be back at some point. We absolutely loved this meal! Having gone to Madrid and Barcelona, this truly wowed us as one of the best meals we’ve had in Spain. Service was 10/10, can’t wait to return to our new favourite spot! Wow, just wow!! The food here is outstanding!! Service was amazing. The family recipe slow cooked goat and the Iberian pork cheeks were the winners for me!! Fantastic! Worf of warning to the UK visitors, it's not tapas servings as we are used to!! They are large portions and every one is delicious! Strongly recommend Rarely leave reviews but this place is definitely worthy of one. Was the first place I hit upon arrival, and was lucky to have a without reservation. The food was absolutely amazing, wine as well. The staff were so incredibly friendly. Easily the best meal I’ve had in a while and perhaps on my visit so far. The only thing I could fault it for is probably for setting the bar so high for the rest of my trip:) Best dinner we have had in Tenerife, mussels were not farmed which makes a huge difference. Octopus and Spanish omelette were great. Staff were lovely got helped through the menu. You’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t come here and you are in the area.
