You can walk around, explore everthing and ask questions in englisch or german. 😀 If you travel with kids, they can learn basics like making food here. Thank you for the wonderful time! Very friendly staff. Nice village. Must be amazing in the hotter season. Great historic recreation of a Viking village. Hands-on stuff in a pretty location. Kids loved it too. Worth an hour or two of your time. Interesting collection of rustic gifts in the shop and knowledgeable staff. Super godt! I took my kids to this amazing experience this past week, and it was such an educational experience. From the volunteers, to the building, and authenticity, we were blown away. We chose to “rent” the English basket, and immerse ourself in the village. From feeding the sheep carrots, to grinding our own corn, to playing the old games, weaving, learning from The Smiths, and enjoying the fire with the wise women in the Völva’s hut. It was all well done. Each and every volunteer was kind, they took time to talk and teach us the old ways. To learn about the Gods, the way of living, the sacrifices, and the village. We will truly remember this experience. THANK YOU to each and every one of you! A small old Viking village, where you go back to the old days of living in Denmark, without a phone or television, This is a fun place to walk around and look at all the old building they have recreated here. The people who walk around in this tiny are extremely friendly, we couldn't speak danish, but they had no problem Changing to English 4 us. There is a small price u pay by entrance and i am sure you would not regret this. Just remember that if you have a child with you that doesn't understand the English language on a higher level, they will need Allot of explanation beacuse of sometimes the hard pronounced words they use to describe the village. Fun place to go i personally highly suggest it! Very nice people and historical reproductions of the mead. Also kind lady at the front desk. Not officially open but the friendly staff allowed us to walk around this wonderful place. Can't wait to go back in the summer. Hail Odin Fantastic place to experience the best parts of the Danish Iron Age! We loved the open air live museum. Also love that there are real people dressed like in the Viking age. They also knew a lot about the history of that era. And it was quite cool to be emerged in that era. I would definitely recommend if you are a Viking history lover. Altid et sted som er værd at besøge når der er jernalder-marked, har stadig ikke skuffet! Recontructed Iron Age village/open air museum in area with good walks. I visited in early April, very nice. Gepassioneerde vrijwilligers die je graag iets vertellen over de geschiedenis en de cultuur.
