My boyfriend had the chicken tikka. Pure heaven. You MUST, no you really really MUST, try this place when in sidmouth. Deserved more than 5 stars. Got to admit it's the best so far outside London! 😁 All I can say is that this place is a hidden gem! Ordered an achari gohst (meat in pickled spices) and 4 chapattis. The lad behind the counter was very polite and hospitable, even though we came a few minutes before closing! The curry was not dripping with oil, which was fantastic. It was packed full of flavour. The quality of the meat itself was excellent, and it was very succulent, as it was cooked to perfection, and unlike some restaurants, there were more than enough pieces of it. The chapattis were enormous. Pricewise, I'd say it's reasonable, considering the prices of utilities and meat. Grand total of £19.30. It's hard to find a good curry house nowadays. it's all kebabs and burgers! I will definitely be eating from there again as it's good to support your local curry house, especially when the food is spot on!! This is absolutely the best takeaway in the area including surrounding areas. Fantastic quality food! Authentic Indian cuisine. This little gem is family run by the most lovely family. We've lived in the area for about 18 months and I have always feeled welcome and valued as a customer. Use this wonderful Indian restaurant as you will not find better in the area and beyond, believe me, I've tried some of the others and they don't compare at all. Lovely food, lovely family run business. Got a take away with local friends during Folk Week and was not disappointed. Great service and the food was so good. Paneer Masala was the best I've had and a generous portion, naan was fluffy, fresh and full of flavour. Recommendation from friends was certainly spot on. Our favourite Indian. How can you fault that? 😍 Got takeaway from here while staying in Sidmouth for one night on a hiking holiday. The folks at the restaurant are absolutely delightful, and the only thing better was their food! Delicious, hearty, incredibly well priced, and exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking. I hope this place continues to rebound post-pandemic, because they absolutely deserve to. Would love to see them get to a point where they can reopen for dine-in service, but in the meanwhile, you'd be hard pressed to get a better in town! I placed a large order for a birthday meal. The staff member was extremely polite. I stupidly forgot some things when I placed the order, so had to call back some time later, and they were very happy to amend this for me. We collected our food, which was ready on time. Our food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was hot which we know can be difficult to achieve with such a large order. The food is so amazing, for the price and quantity you get, its so worth it. The food always ends up being enough for two meals. I’m so pleased with the people who make it aswell, especially the lady who owns it.
