We have stayed at this site a couple of times before, however this time has been the best yet! It’s been taken over by new management and the new owners are lovely and friendly. They sent detailed step by step arrival instructions which are very helpful if you are visiting the site for the first time! We follow the social media pages and can see some of the are undergoing full refurbishments and they look outstanding. We stayed in Lodge 16 which we have stayed in the past, it has been all changed inside and it is so much more modern and tastefully decorated. Lovely little touches were left for us and it was spotlessly clean! We spoke to one of the owners on-site who told us they are getting all of the lake tidied up and comfortable outdoor seating in all the lodges, which will make a huge difference! We are going to book again and cannot wait to see the changes they make. Really peaceful location and surroundings and The Drovers is literally a 5 min drive away and the food was absolutely delicious! 100 recommend. Stayed here recently after wanting a lodge with a hot tub near York. Was blown away with the refurb - the lodge offered everything and more. We stayed in one of the newly renovated and we were absolutely blown away the moment we entered the site! The have beautiful tree’s painted on the outsides which look stunning! When we got into our lodge I could not believe how outstanding it was! You see pictures online of things and don’t expect it to look exactly like that but my gosh it exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The place had everything we could possibly need — it truly felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was a real highlight, perfectly positioned to take in the beautiful scenery while relaxing — pure bliss! The log burner added the perfect touch in the evenings, and having free logs provided was such a thoughtful bonus! Everything was spotless, comfortable, and clearly very well cared for.
