First time at this and really love it. Went to see the comedian Paul Foot and its a very intimate performance as the stage is on the same level as the front row which leads to interaction like no other venue. Highly recommend this venue. 1st ever visit and what a great little venue. Watched the Graffiti classics and they were amazing ,well worth it. Only a small place but big enough to feel involved in the action. Pocklington's gem of a theatre never disappoints. Superb jazz last night with Brendan Duffy vocals and sax, Tom Townsend vocals and drums, Paul Baxter on double bass, plus the hardest-working pianist in York, Karl Mullen. What a treat! These musicians are top level. Always a warm welcome from the folk who run the theatre. Cracking pint in the bar. Easy parking. We've seen so many amazing artists here over the years. From local talent to world stars. It's always been such a joy. This was my first visit to Pocklington Arts Centre and I have to say it's a fantastic venue. We went to see a band there and it was definitely a brilliant gig space. Roomy seating, nice bar area, good facilities. And a nice real-ale bar across the road. Just been to see the fantastic Scott Bennett at Pocklington Arts Centre. Great with lovely helpful staff and show was brilliant! I've attended drawing classes here recently and this is a lovely venue. Staff is always nice and polite, it's clean and there's lots of great events on.
