I've seen the sign so many times I was pleased this was selected for our day out and we weren't disappointed. Lunch was in a lovely airy room and the owner Mathilde was there to check all was good (you supply your own traiteur for food) after lunch we had a timed visit around the château. We were split into two groups as we were a large group and it was fascinating to hear the history and what the future plans are. It is a beautiful location for any event. I was there for a wedding as a saxophonist and I couldn't be more amazed of how beautiful this Castle is, it's also so ready for weddings and celebrations, it has different areas for the party and for dinner, also for welcoming guests. Everyone who saw it on my Instagram was also amazed. Château de Caumont is gorgeous and visible from the main road. Hopefully next time passing by we will be able to have a closer look. An interesting tour of a somewhat sad shadow of what must have been a 'great chateau' up to the last century. See the rooms where kings and queens visited during the heyday of the chateau. Only one Star due to zero star not an option. My husband and I drove up to check out the Chateau and about reservations. We were met by a man and woman who then, sics their dog on us. Thank goodness we were still in the car…. The lady yelled at us and told us we were on private property and it was forbidden. Very Disappointing.
