We had a mobile home with kitchen and terasse. Unfortunately the parking lot was far away from this. It was clean but not fully equipped and a little bit noisy. The surroundings are stunning but the roads in the campsite are really bad and can cause damages to the cars. The at the was rude and not friendly, as we asked help to find the mobile home. We were 20 minutes in the middle of nowhere and with not enough light ( 21 00 o clock) , trying to find the apartment. The girl in the morning of check out was more friendly. Positive: in the woods, paths full of trees and flowers, market, dog friendly, near the city of Florence, reasonable price. Don't it! We before in other hu locations, but this was the most disappointing, it took a long for them to figure it out what we were suppose to get, then our parking spot was taken, and we had to park far away, and after everything was paid and booked through booking, they asked us to pay apart 35 euro for my dog, for the 2 nights we were staying, cause supposedly it needs extra cleaning when you bring a dog, never I had to pay for anything with a dog before anywhere in the world, in any kind of place, and for sure not this high amount, I find it very rude and crazy expensive.. practically the same we were paying for a person, so I checked it's written for regular dogs 25, and for a dog that is not suppose to charge by law anywhere, 35, so disappointing and sad.. In rome in hu we obviously weren't charge for it, so I think they just robbed us, so be careful! I will not this place, also all services like pool, and bar close at 6, but from 17:30 no one will serve you anything else.. terrible experience after all! Nice site. Clean toilets. Very steep climb to facilities. Watch out for the bad tempered cleaner who flicked her mop over my feet because I walked over her wet floor on the way out of the shower and then shouted at me in Syrian? Bus into Florence a short walk away. Had an amazing stay at Hu. We slept in the glamping tent, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The amazing shower was a plus. The thing you need to know about the tents is that they don't have a nice view, instead you look straight into your neighbours tent! The facilities such as the pool and restaurant with amazing view and delicious food are a plus! And with the bus or shuttle it is very easy to get to the center of firenze. An improvement Hu could make is to give an extra pillow (the one we got was very thin) and an extra roll of toilet paper! Other then that 100% recommend! I do not this place at all. You’ll end up wasting your time, money, patience, and ultimately ruin the joy of your entire trip. The problems started right from the beginning. The front desk claimed they couldn’t find adjacent spaces for our campervans — blatantly lying about the lack of availability. Moments later, we saw someone occupying one of the plots we had booked, and suddenly, miraculously, adjacent spaces became available. When we moved to the new spots, we discovered there were no power sockets nearby, and the extension cord we rented from — with a €20 deposit, of course — turned out to be too short. Then came another issue: the quality of service. The change machine in the laundry ate my €10 bill without returning any coins, and the washing machine accepted €7 instead of the stated €5. When I asked a maintenance worker for help, he simply redirected me to the desk, which was quite far away. I didn’t feel like wasting more walking due to equipment failures that clearly weren’t my fault, so I called three times within a span of 45 minutes. Every I was someone would come help me — no one ever showed up. Eventually, I went downstairs myself, only to be the technician had already finished his shift and would return in the morning. When I asked to urgently speak with a manager, I was the same thing: “Call again in the morning.” Eventually, I did get a refund — in a single €10 bill — and was to go back to the same broken machine to try exchanging it for coins. The receptionist made no genuine effort to resolve the situation. Frankly, the showed zero interest in customer service. From what I experienced, this place is a complete mess, and I strongly suggest that the owner or CEO take a serious look at who they’ve hired. We with a VW Bus on a pitch of Easy Camp category. Pros Campsite located on a hill; quieter on the side away from the road Sanitary facilities: clean and modern; number seems limited, but sufficient since most guests stay in mobile homes with their own bathrooms Free shuttle to the city (not used personally, but available) Price relatively high, but comparable to other city-near campsites (e.g., Rome, Bologna) Cons On the hill, road noise is very loud (like standing 100m from the sea). Noise is relative consistent. If you tell yourself it's the ocean it might work. earplugs did help though. Showers with frosted glass: outlines visible, may feel unusual. Camper pitches in the "Camp Easy" category not always level; pitch 104 especially hard to balance Updating 29.09.25- till there is no action without replying in this google review :- We at this property from 06.09 to 07.09 in accommodations 332 and 356A. At first, we were very happy with the nice ambiance and apartment setup – everything looked good. Unfortunately, our experience changed completely on the morning of 07.09. At 8:48 am, one of the cleaning drove through the area and hit our parked car, breaking the left rear brake light and causing dents and scratches on the body. The worst part was not the accident itself, but the way the management handled it. The hotel us they are not responsible for their cleaning staff, which is shocking and unacceptable. When I tried to contact them later by email, they simply ignored my message. This shows a total lack of responsibility and care for guests. If you just want a place to stay without expecting any support, security, or accountability, then maybe this property is okay. But if you expect even basic responsibility in case of an emergency or incident, I would not this place. On the same day, your team informed me that someone would come to check the situation. Two girls arrived, but they also said someone else would come. I waited for more than an hour, and nobody came. Additionally, the girls only spoke Italian, which made communication difficult. I received an email address from the and wrote to it, as well as to your company’s main email, on the same day. However, I did not receive any reply. Two days ago, I wrote again and finally received a reply. Since then, I have written multiple times to all provided emails, but I still haven’t received any response. The director responsible, whose number I got from you, was unable to provide any assistance and only said that he didn’t speak English. Our Roman Gladiators called Signore Gianlucca Hu Firenze Certosa Camping in Town & Signore Mimo Hu Firenze Camping in Town. These are our saviour the men of situation symbol of Italian Hospitality Emperor You know when we were in school, they us how the Romans once ruled the world. Well… for us, they still do. And no, this isn’t CNN breaking news — it’s just a fact of our travels. Who could resist falling in love with Italy’s incredible landscapes and charming towns? From the glittering Amalfi Coast and Capri Island, to the volcanic drama of the Aeolian Islands — Stromboli, Lipari, Panarea — and the turquoise waters of Sardinia’s Maddalena and Porto Cervo. From skiing in Cortina d’Ampezzo and chic Portofino to the timeless beauty of Tuscany, which will forever hold our number one spot. We’ve explored 97 countries, met countless people, and seen wonders across the globe. Yet Italy remains our numero uno destination — for over nine years now, we’ve been coming back at least twice a year. Our travel motto is usually, “Never return — life is too short, the world too big.” But somehow, Italy keeps breaking our own rule. There’s something here… a magic that pulls us back every time. This year Our Perfect Italian Summer Dream — Dolce Vita — 12D Celebrity Cruise Italy&Croatia, 4D Elba Island & 6D Tuscany until the last leg, where a very small problem (€45 transfer real cost handed 30€ in inélégant way) turned into a disproportionately frustrating ordeal because of how it was handled. the issue wasn’t the money or even the inconvenience — it was the attitude and professionalism (or lack thereof) from the staff, especially when the problem was clearly caused by the property. Moving clients to the other property due to maintenance without giving any transfer solution to minimise damage so guests would not feel the inconvenient. You break it You fix it A few points really stand out: • Expectation vs. reality: We have chosen Hu Certosa Firenze to slow down, unpack, and enjoy the final days of your holiday, but instead ended up repacking, relocating, and losing in Tuscany’s heat. • Customer care gap: No transfer support was offered, despite the brand’s responsibility for the move. • Defensiveness over resolution: Repeated “you go on your own” responses and dismissive remarks like “even at the end of the world we wouldn’t pay your transfer” turned a small logistical hiccup into a memorable negative experience. • Contrast in behavior: While some dug in, Gianlucca & Mimo handled the situation with empathy, speed, and no drama — the way it should have been from the start. • Facility vs. split: The physical space and design exceeded expectations, but the human side of hospitality — arguably the most important — fell short. Service Recovery Failure: in hospitality, problems happen, but how a team reacts can make or break the guest’s final impression. Here, the “hardware” (the beautiful, well-designed property) was top-tier, but the “software” (human interaction) had critical glitches Warning – Scam Just Outside Campsite We had a good stay at hu Firenze Camping, but shortly after leaving, we were likely scammed. As we drove out, we heard a sharp “stone-like” sound against the car. So we stopped. A man (around 27, slicked-back gelled hair) in a silver-grey Volkswagen Golf stopped also in Bottai, claiming we hit his mirror. He pointed to a fake scratch on our car – probably drawn earlier with glue. I paid €200, then realized it was staged. I felt stupid but now i want to warn you! The timing was suspicious – our departure date was visible on the campsite’s mirror tag. Management should warn guests and stop showing departure info so clearly. Be alert when leaving – especially near Bottai. We don't get some of the negative reviews. We in a glamping tent which looked like new. Same for the sanitair, swimming pool, washing machines and the restaurant. They all look like new and are very well maintained. in one of the houses. Clean, nice. Had some problems like a hole in our terrace, the and the problem was solved in less than 15 minutes. Incredible! Also good wifi, nice pool with free sunbeds. And also- the is super nice. Would recommend. We in a bungalow. The itself was fine, other than the fact that we ran out of hot water. They only give you one roll of toilet paper for your entire stay. When we asked for more, they charged us. The was not great. We waited for a long to check out and get help other times. However the location is more than beautiful. The countryside is breathtaking. We at the accommodation for two nights while passing through. First, we were given a key for a that was already occupied. As our was not available, we received a substantial downgrade in the category for the first night. The next day we were able to move into our actual room. Only after asking several times did we receive a partial refund for the first night. Contrary to the pictures on the booking page, there was no fridge in our new and the safe was out of order. Overall we had a not very pleasant experience. At least, the personnel on arrival kindly tried to find a solution for the situation.
