Great worth a What an and collection of memorabilia and historical artifacts from before WW1 to present day. Run by Ian Stuart and a wonderful Team of people who have dedicated their time and effort to preserve the memories of the fallen too A fantastic experience just to wander around the and outdoor displays is a humbling experience. I'd recommend visiting here, and thank Ian and this team. The coffee and Tunnocks were well received too. Thank you 😁 🇬🇧🎖️🏴👍 I really enjoyed this place. Great not only for big boys but also for children. Very nice people working there, welcoming. Highly recommend a to this place. There are lots of interesting artefacts to look at. very friendly. Been couple time for charity nights. Lots of memorabilia and stories. As a spiritual Medium can also feel the energy of those linked to the uniforms and equipment. Lots to see. A very friendly and friendly place. Will come back for a proper tour. Entrance fee is 7.50 and absolutely worth it. Collections were filled with WW1 and WW2 relics and firearms. Even had a chance to hold a rifle with permission from under direct supervision! Great place, friendly people with lots of equipment to see, the hall is packed solid with displays which includes headdress, clothes, badges/medals, arms and ammunition, models & dioramas. External display of vehicles, cannons & missiles. Well worth a visit. Fantastic museum! I absolutely love it here and I will have to say you'd likely spend many hours looking at everything and getting the full experience or may need to split it into two days as there's so much on offer here. If you love history this is heaven. The are wonderful and a good laugh to chat to. super welcoming, very good value for entry cost, great location, although no cafe there is always the offer of tea/coffee etc from staff. Many things here to enjoy and also one of the biggest history libraries (I believe it's in the process of being catalogued). Accessible and just a great place to visit. The ww1 trench that is there to experience is amazing! So many things... please and enjoy. Fantastic experience. Brilliant variety of items. A credit to all involved. An place. Can't say enough about it. Will be back. place! Was planning to see this for a while, for the last few years. Only came round to seeing it today. Staff were amazing, and very accomadating. All are volunteers and do a good job, restoring things. It has everything a war enthusiast or historian would want to see. I thourughly enjoyed myself. Worth every penny, and is still expanding and growing. I will be back again, with a friend. Michael Great range of artifacts and weapons on display. The were all lovely too and very helpful. Clearly very passionate about the museum. Absolutely place, tucked away in the corner of Scotland, cracking bunch of lads, who own the place, Definitely worth the if you're a history nerd or just interested in anything old and different. So please come and visit, as it would benefit them greatly and to keep history preserved. This collection is some of the best i've seen in a long time and for such a small museum, it packs alot in definitely 100% worth the trip if you're in and around Scotland. Just had an absolutely fantastic with my P7 class. Iain was so welcoming and knowledgeable. The kids had great fun visiting the exhibits and they really enjoyed the A-Z quiz. We spent 4 hours here and we could face easily have spent another 4. It was a great way to conclude our topic. We’ll definitely be back! We came here for a today. We paid 15 to get in for both myself and my husband. And unfortunately we found this a little disappointing. The are very nice and welcoming however, the start of the was very cramped, you had everything from WW1 and WW2 squashed together, it was very busy. There was no information on the items to state what it was. Yes there was things to look at but it was way too much in a small space.as we went outside, we noticed it was fenced off alot. There was only couple of things to look at outside. And they wasn't brilliant, there was bit to walk through but nothing much in there at all. I will say i love what the are attempting to do here. But we will not be visiting again.
