A very cosy and well fed stopover on our hiking trip, near Millingen Great place for Bed & Breakfast rB&B in this beautiful 'uiterwaarden' area round Nijmegen/Millingerwaard the little village Kekerdom! With it's little early gothic church which is the only church in the NL outside the dikes. Hjalmar the owner does a great job with a really nice cultural program (singers, singersongwriters, theme parties, bands, dancenights speeches, etc). De Waard van Kekerdom is a great place to relax! For families, couples but also for businessmeetings and -gatherings it is a great opportunity to schedule meetings, get to know eachother and especially for slowing down and releave the pressure! A pearl in the Polder. Great atmosphere. Now and then they have great gigs. Lovely B&B in the country. Unique decor, amazing food, and friendly service. Stayed for one night I didn’t know what to make of this B&B at first. It like you gone back in time and have landed in the hippy period. The B&B is what you see is what you get and the atmosphere is relaxed and laid back and if you don’t need luxury and are not stressed and in a hurry and don’t mind waiting till the owner gets around to serving you, then you will enjoy this place. The bedroom is basic but clean with no extras like tv or coffee/ tea. You have no choice for dinner but get a vegetarian meal made by the cook. I found the meal not only healthy but also delicious. Breakfast was also vegetarian with a boiled egg and different sort cheeses and jam with fresh bread. The waitress serving breakfast was very friendly and helpful Very pleasant. We enjoyed the food as the cheerful welcoming. We liked to test few of the vinyl records too! My all time favourite place. Everything is perfect, from ambience, to food, to staff friendliness.
