We had just a quick lunch but we really enjoyed this place. Service very kind Great food, great wines. High-end dining Good service and flair. Sadly the menu concentrated a lot on meat and fish and not so much on the stuff around (you can't choose what kind of vegetables you'd like ...). Quality of food was very high and it was delicious. It was unfortunately very disappointing experience. Despite quite warm welcome and pleasant ambience food served during lunch time was simply uneatable. Absolute disaster. We hebben genoten van de heerlijke gerechten, het goede advies over de wijn, de mooie combinaties en de vriendelijke bediening. Een aanrader! Vandaag 17 juli ging ik na een heerlijke wellnessdag bij De Valkenberg in Rheden even verderop eten bij De Liefde in Doesburg. Op Maps had ik al verschillende positieve recensies gelezen wat me erg benieuwd maakte. Alles bij elkaar 5 sterren voor het geheel! Het was pas net weer een paar dagen open nadat er bij een vlakbij een brand was geweest. De ontvangst door de gastvrouw was erg gastvrij en de sommelier heeft super veel kennis van de wijnen en brengt dit erg enthousiast over. Zo leuk om te zien hoe de familie hier samenwerkt, want moeder, vader en zoon geven alle drie hun bijdrage aan het geheel. Het eten zelf was ook erg goed, heerlijke smaken en combinaties. Als voorgerecht at ik de mosterdsoep met heerlijke bijpassende wijn en als hoofdgerecht de gevulde varkenshaas met een erg lekkere saus erbij.. Ook het dessert was 👌👌dat was een trifle (zie de foto) die erg goed was! Van harte aanbevolen! The absolute best asset of this is the warmth and friendliness of the staff! The is run by a family and they take great care in ensuring their guests have a beautiful experience! The prices were surprisingly affordable considering the level of service and food quality. Without a doubt, this is a hidden gem and a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for a memorable dining experience! Not very impressed… Snacks were cheap looking as there is no love… Selfservice as there was no staff due covid… The owners were rude and disrespectful… Sorry but no sorry… Impression is fail!!!
