The road are curvy and busy, huge parking with outside traditional market, churches looks great. Very nice souvenir shop. No facility for wheelchairs, toilets available. Probably one of the best Monastery ever seen till now. Gorgeous in details and a lot of flowers. Worthwhile for a couple of hours max. Toilets available It's a place to come to pray, relax and even have a bite if you feel like doing it. I like to come here, It is a very nice Church, beautiful garden, and really relaxing. The view of the surroundings from the top of the hill are beautiful. The animal themed park/small zoo is also an attraction, especially for the little ones. The church is surprisingly beautiful, with several interesting buildings and niches.There is a relatively new church and buildings and also older church and wall from the time of the great Stephan. ancient and new combine nicely and create an interesting complex. There is also a and mainly nice zoological facility (shame that the white alpaca looked very unhappy) at reasonable prices you will find a souvenir and drink shop and also a cheese shop made by the nuns. The place is very authentic, all visitors were Romanian. There are residential buildings of the monks and nons, an interesting glass structure for dining and conferences. The view around and the way there is amazing, not easy to arrive but worth the effort. Just 45 minutes from Iasi and not listed in foreign tour guides. Beautiful city view from the hill Impressive site. We went there in a week day with few visitors. I didn't expect to see such a big and well maintained monastery. The road is very good from Iasi to Hadambu. The monastery is placed on the top of a big hill, has two churches, a new and a old one, a beautiful garden, and some sort of zoo park for children. You can see the place is well maintained. The park has a pond with ducks and swans and some other animals ( deers, goats etc). You can enjoy the beautiful views from the top of the hill inside this park. We had some quiet, enjoyable moments there. A remote place where the sounds that you can hear are those from animals. Nice place were you can go with children. Must visit this wonderful place if you are on a road trip in that region. This is the unofficial Iasi zoo. The road to it is not the best, you need to cross 2 villages but ultimately the view is nice and the place is quiet. Plenty of parking, recently some traditional shops appeared also. Mind you, it is a monastery, thus have considerate dress code. If you're in Iasi, definitely worth the 30 min drive. Awesome monastery with great views, a old church and a bigger new one. They even have a park with various animals. Must see if you like monasteries and you are around.
