We always have really good whenever we go in but our most recent experience really stood out. We had booked in for our 12 week old son to have his done, thank god we had Helen. She was so and was just so good with him, she was very patient too not the easiest of tasks getting a baby to stay still for a photo the would accept - thank you so much Helen x I use Yate Post frequently for both business and personal use. I always find all the staff (Tasha, Ronike, Inga, Andy, Dave, Helen & Kevin) extremely friendly, and professional. It would be devastating to lose such an important part of our community which is used daily by many customers. Inga served me today and she was great at helping me order currency online as I had no ID with me to get it in branch. Beware! It seems to be policy to offer you the most expensive parcel postage, and not offer any of the other cheaper options unless you prise it out of them. They offered to send a UK parcel for over £10, signed, tracked, everything. No mention of cheaper alternatives until I asked for them. I sent it 2nd class, 48hr, tracked, for £4.05. But you need to check cheaper options - they won't be offered. Edit: 3 months later. I wanted to send a small parcel tracked, 24 hours. I was offered next day 10am at over £26. I said I'd found a lower price for 24 hour tracked on the Royal Mail website. I was then offered First Class at over £5. I ended up accepting Second Class at £3.99, no tracking, insurance etc. At no point was I offered 24 hour tracked, for the £4.45 that appears on the website. (I didn't get the man's name - bearded older man) Once might be a mistake but this is clearly a pattern - offering the highest priced services. I'll be looking for alternative carriers from now on. Helen at the Yate Post did a fantastic job assisting us with our British renewals. She was thorough, knowledgeable, and ensured every detail was correct, giving us complete confidence in the process. I needed a proof of Identity verification which was dealt with efficiently and courteously. Nice to be able to deal with someone who knew there job and made life easy. 5* Me and my wife both had booked to have our passports renewed we decided on the post as they can check the photos and make sure all the other details are correct. We had a booked appointment and we were seen at the allocated time. We were dealt with by a very lady called Helen who took out photos and made us at ease throughout the whole experience. We were given instructions on what happens when the passports are then sent on. We received regular updates on our phones about what stage the passports were at. All in all it was about 3 weeks from start to finish. Very very happy with the we received. Ronike. She went above and beyond to find me the most appropriate/best deal for sending my parcels. She was patient, good humoured and chatty whilst systems took their time to give us the answers. She is a credit to the branch. My appointment at Yate post to digitally renew my and driving licence was extremely fast and was professionally conducted by Ronike. The applications were very quickly processed and I would highly recommend this to anyone who's maybe not so computer confident or would just like support and guidance to complete their application process. Excellent service, quick, easy and stress-free. The gentleman serving me, was polite and very Helen at Yate Post was so and gave me a variety of options to send my parcel to my nephew. Tried to buy Euros with my bank card but Ronike pointed out my driving licence had expired. She told me how to circumnavigate the system by withdrawing cash and buying Euros with that so that I didn’t need ID. She also renewed my drivers licence there and then with minimum fuss and maximum helpfulness. Ronike was very pleasant and helpful, and the whole process was simple, straightforward and quick. The real benefit is that the photo taken during the process is pre-checked by the so will not be rejected. We had an appointment with Helen from Yate post this morning to get our 3 children's passports done, we were very impressed with how quickly she did them. She was very professional and answered all the questions we needed to ask. She spoke us through the process. Very pleased. Helen was very welcoming, and knowledgable. She made renewing my and driving license stress free. Side note… the WiFi was very temperamental and Helen did very well to deal with that problem with ease. I think the Post should look into installing a better system for that to make the workers jobs smoother. Good experience today getting a new passport, Inga was very helpful. Today I applied for a digital check and send at Yate, Bristol Post office. The lady Helen who served me, was polite and courteous. David M. 4 Nov 2025 Today I had to post 5 parcels to 5 different addresses. It should have taken a while as they were quite big and heavy. It didn’t take long at all because Inga was fantastic. She helped and advised me brilliantly. Inga was professional, polite knowledgeable and friendly. Which is a rare thing these days. Thank you Inga for making my trip a lot easier. I left the post smiling. Had to go to PO to renew my driving licence as I don't have a passport. Inga was very and and it didn't take very long. I did think i should have taken a photograph of my old licence, but as i'd already handed it over i decided i was too late, but she then said 'would you like to take a photo of your old licence' as if she had read my mind...and we had matching tops on too! 😃 Today, I had the pleasure of being served by Dave, who truly exemplified exceptional customer service. My query was not the simplest to navigate, but Dave’s patience and dedication shone through as he went above and beyond to resolve my issue. What a fantastic made my day and thank you it made my day . Inga was very today as I needed a postal order issued (which I hadn’t done before) and posting items recorded delivery. The postal order process was explained clearly to me and Inga very kindly helped me to complete the postal order details on the document that I was sending, very much appreciated!! I had a parcel to post yesterday. Inga served me at the counter. She was very and managed to fold the parcel to be a bit smaller. This stopped the contents moving around in a large jiffy bag. She taped it firmly which I had been unable to do. Extremely easy and efficient way to apply for new and without any worries as to whether form is correct.
