I don't know how it looks in summer but this is THE place to visit in winter. Wonderful and magical location. There is 3 grill areas, I just hoped that even one would have a roof, but sadly they're 2 ⭐ for grill. You need your own wood and one of the grills didn't have benches. Just amazing place! Lot of parking space and great hiking routes. Wonderful place for picnics, jogging, walking and etc... Just need a cozy music and relax here. Myllykoski in Nurmijärvi is a fantastic nature destination for families with kids and tourists who enjoy hiking. The well-marked trails (about 2–3 km) feature duckboards, stairs, and multiple footbridges over scenic rapids—perfect for a short but rewarding hike. Children will love exploring the wooden paths, spotting birds like the white-throated dipper, and enjoying a picnic by the fire pits. For hiking enthusiasts, the area connects to the Pikkukoski trail and offers access to longer routes like the Seitsemän Veljeksen Trail. Spring offers the best water views, while winter turns the area into a peaceful, frozen wonderland. Really nice area! Along the river there are rest areas with fire/BBQ places. The bridges are great with mesmerizing views over the river. We visited Myllykoski on when there was lots of water in the river. We also took the track to Pikkukoski, that was awesome. The wooden track goes along the riverbank up the stream. Great views and nice walk! Good place for fishing and picnic. A nice place to enjoy the river side and calm chirping of birds. Sadly not a loop, but there is an underpass to get to the other side of the highway to return without backtracking. There’s nothing to see on the return journey that way though, so you might as well backtrack and enjoy the views from both directions. There are 3 spots for campfires around the area. Total distance 4 to 5 km. Viihtyisä paikka. Very nice and peacfull place for walk. Beautiful place and great scenery to spend time in.
