Absolutely charming stay at this extraordinarily restored and exquisitely maintained chateau. It has been in the family since the medieval era. We truly enjoyed visiting with the owner, Patrice, who graciously gave us a tour of his family's history. Beautiful breakfast in the morning, if there is anything you need, you have but to ask! If you are looking for luxury hotel type of accommodation, this is not the place for you, however if you are looking for an accommodation that will enable you to experience what it's like to stay in a 800 years old - this is the perfect place for you. Our rooms were with items from diferente centuries, and in some places in the I felt like being on the set of downtown Abby TV series. The owner is extremely nice and the tour he gave us in the was absolutely Amazing. This place has such a rich history, and he has a lot of knowledge on it and on all the items that are on display in the castle. I'm so happy we had the privilege of experiencing a stay in this place. Amazing experience. Charming hosts, wonderful food and incredible hiking in the area! We stayed last year as a family group - 20 people across four generations (and two dogs). We had a wonderful time. The chateau was everything we hoped it would be. Don't expect a five star modern hotel stay - while the bedrooms are comfy and quirky many with en suite, the kitchen is basic and the wifi was a little intermittent. However if you want to experience stepping back 500 years to a turretted fairy story set over multiple floors with thick stone ivy clad walls, a spectacular minstrel galleried hall with winding wooden staircase and an ancient stone floored kitchen, this is the place for you. Chateau Sedaiges offers authentic grandeur in lovely private gardens with a good sized private pool. We spent hours lounging around the pool or lazing in hammocks under the many mature and beautiful trees sipping wine and watching the kids and dogs enjoying the freedom of the extensive gardens. Evenings were filled with ghost hunts, BBQs and family meals in the garden or very impressive dining room. Somehow all of this is set on a fabulously personal scale leaving you feeling in no doubt that you are living in your own private family estate - if only for a week! Small but beautiful with a unique collection, wonderful and informative guided tour (also in English). Beautiful Chateau, we were greeted by the Count himself. The behind this family own Chateau it’s impressive. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as hot showers and functional toilets, a chimney for every room as well. Would recommend 100% !!
