Wasn’t planning to go to the beach, but after a very short walk, there it was, a gorgeous clean with maybe a dozen people enjoying it (swimming, walking) on an August day. Nice sand and water. Great view of fort. Some shells to see. Visit here! The Dock Cork is a well-sheltered located near the small town Kinsale. The is relatively small but offers a great local amenity. As you enter the there's a lovely walk up to Jamesfort. And from the you can clearly see the sister fort Charlesfort. The is safe for swimming and is always relatively calm with no big waves or currents. You can see little shoals of fish if you have a snorkel and there are rock pools to explore for other marine life like crabs. Parking can be awkward and the itself can get a bit too crowded on very warm days. It's popular with families so it's not uncommon to be pitched beside a crying baby on a busy day. There are usually coffee trailers close by and there's so a surf/kayaking school at the beach. There is also the Dock Bar close to the if you feel like grabbing a drink. First thing in the morning when there’s no one around it would get 5 stars .. very small so gets packed easily and very little parking space ( for the amount of people) That saying it’s a lovely ( nice and clean ) and a great place to swim .. And what a setting Sympathique plage. Jouets pour les enfants en libre accès Lovely small secluded Little (not so hidden) gem of a beach. Safe for young families, no currents or large waves. Parking can be a problem in summer so be prepared to walk a bit or arrive before 11. In summer, can hire kayaks or sup boards in field next to beach, often a coffee van and ice cream on road. But, beware, no WC facilities! (Unless you but something in Dock Pub) Popular with all age groups for Swimming, Kayaking or simply watching the sail boats pass by. Great rocks nearby to climb & explore and James Fort a short walk away Very nice local Sandy extremely popular on Sunday weekends and possibly a bit difficult to find parking unless you're willing to walk a good bit but it's worth it Lovely little beach! Small but the sand is so smooth and soft! Picturesque with a stunning view of Charles Fort. Parking is a nightmare on a Sunday. If you want to visit beware of traffic to kinsale and back out of it. Beautiful hidden secret of Cork! Well kept and absolutely stunning location. Highly recommend for people to visit if you are in the area. I went mid week, so it was easy to get parking. If you have kids, there is a toy library where you can borrow lots of toys in case you forget your own. Really amazing view..from here... Small place to enjoy happily . kids have Toy Library to play 😻💞💕👌✌ Very cute beach. Lovely for the little ones. Beautiful views. nice if the weather is good in Ireland .ice cream van, restaurant You can eat, drink and use the toilet At a nearby restaurant , as there is no other toilet . The access to the is quite shallow, so children can play safely near the water. The sand Pleasant to the touch , but was hard to clean it off .The is very cold even for such warm days . I loved this cosy beach. It wasn't wavy or windy; there were many people so I didn't feel unsafe; you can dress/undress by the rocks; the was lovely even though its temp was 16 degrees:) recommended by someone who is from the Mediterranean/Aegean:) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
