A mix of sand and little rocks perfect for sunny days during the summer in the southeast of Cork. It has a small walk on the right where you can get amazing views, specially if you like photography or just walking by the seaside. The bus also can get you here and takes about 30 minutes. An amazing place to spend some time with family or friends, totally recommended if you want to relax. A gorgeous little that never gets too busy to enjoy. Lovely view out over the ocean, framed by rocks on each side. Concrete steps to access the or a slope if required. Parking on the road down to the that can take probably 20 to 30 cars. Just be aware of private residences not to block their entrances and not to block the narrow cliff Road. Emergency vehicles do use this road and need the space. There are 2 cold water showers to wash off sand at the top of the beach. I would recommend wearing footwear even when going into the water. The stones are sharp and can cut feet, especially kids feet. If you go up the cliff walk, a quick 2km later you arrive at Founntainstown, another small stoney beach, lovely for a walk or hunting in rockpools. Nice to swim in. Occasionally, has a chip van up by the carpark and traders with market stalls. Good to go and contemplate life. Popular for sea swimming. Absolutely love this beach! We visit here on our last visit to Cork so it was a must this year too! Great swim spot, never too busy and lots of rock pools to explore Nice with a few bits of seaglass (for crafting) Wonderful little bay, one feels transported back to the time of the dinosaurs because of all the visible earth shifts and end moraine boulders. If you want to go into the water, you should bring swimming shoes, especially on warm days, as the stones are not kind to the soles and are hot. Such a beautiful, cozy, and peaceful place. We absolutely fell in love with it as a family! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for creating and relaxing together. A place we’ll definitely return to again! the wonderful landscape of endless water. that if you just sit down on the edge of a rock and stare into the distance, you can think of so much. either alone or with friends, but I can say for sure it’s amazing. 🙂 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
