Beautiful quiet spot. A lot of information signs providing details about the Titanic. Great views all around. A short walk from Cobh dock area. Not much to see but worth the walk to pay respect and contemplate Lovely peaceful area of the town. Not a long walk from the main promenade but there is some parking so that is an option. Not much here but a few information panels with interesting history. The memorial plaque looks out to where Titanic would have been docked so is especially poignant. The site is also an old fort (and home to the current harbour office because of its views) so you’ll find lots of history here. Very pleased, I recommend visiting when you arrive in the city of Cobh. A very nice and peaceful spot in an otherwise busy Cobh.. A 10 min walking distance from Cobh Promenade, along the lower road. It has a decent car park also. Just before park entrance there is a winding walkway leading to a pebble beach. The memorial park itself is very nice, open and provides spectacular view of the Cobh coastline, Haulbowline park and Cobh Harbour. It has two levels, lower level has few benches to relax. All in all a nice place to take some rest after having seen bush side of Cobh and absorb all the experience!!.. The Titanic Memorial Garden in Cobh is a small but meaningful spot overlooking the sea. Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic before its tragic sinking, and this garden pays tribute to that history with a large commemorative plaque listing the names of the passengers who boarded here. It’s a peaceful and touching place to visit, offering beautiful views and a moment of reflection — though quite small, it’s definitely worth a stop when exploring Cobh. A nice quite place overlooking the harbour to reflect on the events of over one hundred years ago. Primarily for the remembrance of those who boarded the Ill fated liner from Queenstown (Cohb). Some nice seats to sit and think about those events. A few informative information boards dotted about and if you go down the steps there is area with further seats. Had no problems parking, though the drive up the hill at the end was a little special. Lovely garden with a great garden display, but having seen the Titanic Memorial garden in Lahardane in County Mayo I was hoping that this one would be better but it wasn’t. Lovely use of the natural landscape and a great idea to include all the names of those who perished on the glass plaque. But it could really do with something like a sculpture to bring it up to somewhere near the garden in Mayo which has a scaled sculpture of the Titanic Ship, Bronze statues representing those who boarded the ship and a reconstruction of the famine house they left.
