Fabulous place for food, had the Sunday lunch everything was wonderful and tasty, only one area of improvement would be the Yorkshire puddings (squished) and roasts which were bland. But the food was lovely, definitely go back. Pub is lovely only let down by the toilets (mens toilet seat broken) 2024 We had family at lunchtime. We were seated promptly and our table service was excellent throughout the meal. The food and drinks were excellent and everyone finished the lot. Festive Parmo Hanging Kebab Steak Fishcakes Good job!! June 2025 We decided to call in, on the hoof on a Tuessay night; and the place was packed to the rafters. We kid you not. We managed to get seated instantly and had another fantastic meal. Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted. As well as a good sized meal, the quality is spot on. Cod and Chips 👏 Philly Cheese Steak Parmo was AMAZING. Love this place. The Mill offers a delightful dining experience with a menu that boasts gorgeous food. While the dishes are slightly overpriced, the quality and presentation make it worthwhile. Both the drink and food selection are impressive, catering to a variety of tastes. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, perfect for a relaxed meal. The are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Food a bit on the expensive side (£17 for the steak and kidney pie) but worth it. Lovely place and service was 👍 little place. Nipped in for a snack but ended up having "The Pablo" burger which was an absolute beast, but really well presented and tasted great. Staff were friendly and thoughtful, often giving us updates to say when they'd be taking our orders, or when drinks and food would be ready. Will definitely come back, despite the trek to get there. Lovely fresh cooked food. I had the perk belly on black pudding and mushy peas. Dunno how they got the pork like they did, but wow. Absolutely delicious Visited on the 25/10/2025, booked a table for four at 1630. (Wife's Birthday). 1st time we've been to The Mill. Food was excellent, Parmo & Belly Pork. All were so polite with us. Definitely going to go back to this place regularly now. Great onsite parking too. Had a lunchtime here today celebrating a birthday. 5 of us served really well. I had a steak and onion baguette from the specials menu. Others had fish and chips, mussels and fries, hotshot parmo and Yorkshire wrap. Excellent quality food and lots of it. Really enjoyable lunch. Recommended We went for a midweek impromptu celebration last night. Booked earlier in the evening via the website booking and were able to get a table at a time we wanted. It was a Wednesday evening. We’ve been to The Mill many times and we’ve always had a good dream. It can be very busy on a weekend though so bear that in mind and book early. Definitely don’t leave booking till on the day. You might be disappointed. We were seated straight away when we arrived. were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. A good range of Pub Grubb and Gastro pup food. We ordered three parmos - original, Philly cheese steak and the red and black. All of them came with junkie Chips. My daughter ordered a lasagna. We then had two desserts – one Panna cotta and one baked cookie dough and two coffees. We had a lovely evening. Our first time at ‘Pups and Pints’ and we had a time. Really well organised event by friendly, chatty and after walking from the pub to the G & Tea House, Star dived straight in a dog bed when she got back to the pub before enjoying treats and some doggy ice cream! Will definitely be back. We popped in for lunch on Tuesday lunchtime without booking and received the warmest welcome from the proprietor. We could choose where we sat and noticed the waitress had provided a warm bed for the family with a little dog sat at the next table. My husband had the sausage and mash with veg and sublime gravy - I had the breadcrumb chicken breast pieces with satay sauce and slaw - suppose to be a starter but so generous. Even the tap water came in a crystal glass !!! little eclectic place with alot of heart and food! The food (Sunday Lunch) used to served to a high standard, quality and you would be guaranteed a truly delicious meal. We’ve been a few times recently and there definitely has been a change in quality on what is delivered on the plate. Most recently, receiving an unlikely small Yorkshire, no red cabbage, poor cauliflower cheese and beef that wasn’t consistently pink as it previously was. To charge that kind of price we do expect better. This is minor, but the plates with the ridge are quite restricting for the dining experience. Sadly will not be returning for Sunday Lunch anytime soon. Time to try somewhere else. We was staying at a local glamping site for our birthday and came for Sunday Dinner food was great, were welcoming and service was good. Simon was absolutely fantastic! I walked in and he greeted us with such a lovely tone. He was always checking in on us, making sure everything was alright. He offered to bring our drinks to us and most of all, his customer service was outstanding. Visited 3/11/25 Thank you Daniel Atkinson We stayed close by and ate here three consecutive days. Food was delicious ! Ribeye steak gorgeous burgers amazing ! Came for a birthday meal. Food was decent, however the service was terrible. 2 girls working and 4 tables eating - took a long time for them to take our food order after numerous times trying to get their attention, and then when we were eating I had to get up and go to the bar to get myself another drink, however the bar was unmanned and both were chatting near the till so had to go back and find one of them to get a refill on my drink. One girl then delivered the drink, saw our empty plates and left the dishes with us. Decided not to stay for dessert due to the long wait times and not approaching us at any point.
