We went on Thursday as there were special activities for kids (check beforehand as it's only seasonal). The museum presents life in the olden days with presentation of some old crafts like carpentry and weaving. Kids can have a go as well! They sell some tasty home made treats and snacks, like chleb ze smalcem, waffles and cakes, (Cash only, but you can use the card to pay for the entry ticket). There are some farm animals as well and old farm machinery. For kids - well equipped playground with some old-style wooden toys. The place is expanding and recently added history information (how the inhabitants completely changed from Germans to Poles after 1945) as well as folk culture on healing exhibition. Can just about reach Swołowo via public transport - the bus is from Slupsk and possibly from Ustka. If going by car, don't drive into the village! There is a car park just outside. Then walk via cobbled street (10min) and admire the experience with geese and chickens walking freely in the gardens. Rare view for the city dwellers! I went to this place good few years ago and having visited it again just now I can see how it's evolving - there is a lot more to do and see, more tasty snacks, more toilets are added in the new buildings, handy car park (!). However the staff members organising the activities could be more engaging and enthusiastic (the guy at machinery was quite chatty though). Also some signs on the streets - where to go next - could be handy. Some people drive into the - is the car park outside publicised enough? What about public transport?
