We enjoyed some some with F being my favorite We just dropped by to get an appointment for tasting, but the lady, after having quickly checked the diary, offered us to have the on the spot. She prepared the tables, we selected the and then she brought us on a fantastic journey, giving us information about the history and the wines. As we read some contradictory reviews, we had some concerns, however we experienced the absolute opposite: friendly, helpful and flexible staff and overall an excellent experience. Great experience. You have to reserve in advance, otherwise there is no guarantee you can participate. We visited San Marzano Cantine as one of my favourite is produced there and I wanted to try more. We chose one set of middle range (15€) and top range (20€) wines, the service was nice and informative. We left tipsy, happy and with some good to bring back home. Very bad experience! The are totally overpriced (you can buy it much cheaper everywhere) and the shop is a not from the winery. It is an independent company so they ask you for another 20€ per person to taste the wines. This business case makes no sense....if you would like to buy a big amount of and had to pay additional for the tasting. San Marzano Primitivo di Manduria 60 is in my opinion the best red which I buy since I could afford. Since yesterday bland Cinquenta I my favorite! :) During our travel around Italy by campervan San Marzano winniary was a must stop. We had very nice testing provided by SM stuff. New to us was few tasts. Finally we bought "a few" ;) Grappa 60 is the best grappa I have ever tried. Never tried before sweet primitivo which is naturally sweet just because it is latest haverst. San Marzano team and members thank you for absolutely great wines. This time we bought Tramari, PdM60, Grappa60, Edda, Cinquenta, 11, Spumante white ond oil. See our pict :D To all it my concern... If you need cheap and free gadgets use distributor, not producer brand shop. If no free gift is reason you don't like wine... you should follow sunset direction and never turn back :) Simple shop nothing else! We knew their iconic red wines, we wanted to taste and buy also white - there was no chance to taste them so we bought a case blindly.
