Semplicemente spartano e gestito a mio modesto avviso senza amore, personale impreparato, caotico e disordinato. Very nice place. Of all the visited beaches in the vicinity, this one is the nicest and cleanest. We have visited Bar Moby several times with and without children and we have always been met with a nice attitude, despite the fact that we do not speak Italian and the gentleman did not understand a word of us. The bar itself is clean, pleasant. Although it does not belong to the super-modern category, it definitely has a lot of charm. View of the sea and the islands of Volcano and Lipari. Beautiful view of Tindari and sunsets. In short, unique and unforgettable. Very nice place. Llegamos de casualidad dado que nos dirigíamos a otro lado y fuimos hacer playa unas horas ...el lugar precioso...la atención excelente..los precios muy accesibles ... I honestly don’t like writing negative reviews, but what happened to me at Lido Moby-Dick in Sicily deserves to be shared especially if you're a tourist, a digital nomad, or anyone who values being treated with basic human respect. I went there as a visitor with an Italian friend. The beach view was stunning. The woman behind the counter was lovely, warm, and respectful. I bought a coffee, sat down, opened my laptop, and started working quietly. I paid like anyone else. I wasn’t disturbing a soul. Then, this man maybe the owner or manager started staring at me like I didn’t belong there. At first I brushed it off. But he wasn’t just unfriendly he was drunk, even that first day. The smell was obvious. He kept talking in Italian to my friend, asking what I had ordered, like I had to justify myself for buying a coffee and using my laptop. I didn’t make a scene. I finished my drink, paid again, and left peacefully. The next morning, I came back trying to give the place another chance because the view was beautiful and I just wanted a calm place to work. Again, I ordered a drink. Again, I was quiet, respectful, and minding my business. Then the same drunk guy shows up. This time, even more aggressive. Speaking only Italian, even though I clearly couldn’t understand. Through my phone translator, I figured out he was telling me I couldn’t use my laptop there, I couldn’t sit unless I bought food, and I had to leave. Let me repeat: I had paid for my drink. I wasn’t being loud. I wasn’t taking up a huge space. I wasn’t bothering anyone. But for some reason, this man treated me like I was trash. He even used offensive language in Italian when speaking to my friend things no customer should ever hear. The smell of alcohol on him was overwhelming. It was the middle of the day, and he was clearly drunk and full of hostility. I can’t help but feel there was some racism or prejudice involved. I speak Arabic, French, and English but not Italian and from the moment I arrived, he looked at me like I didn’t belong there. Not because I did anything wrong, but because of who I am. That’s how it felt. And that’s not okay. Yes, I could’ve called someone, reported it, even brought in a lawyer. But I didn’t. Out of respect for the nice woman who worked there, I simply left. I even left a tip. But I left feeling angry, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Italy all because one man thinks he can treat paying customers however he wants if they don’t fit his narrow idea of who "belongs" there. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was there a couple of days ago with a disabled person and an infant and the old man in charge didn’t allow us to user the toilet even after we bought drinks from the bar. He was telling me that he spent hundreds of thousands of euros and if every single customer was like us he would go broke. We were the only people on the entire beach btw. Never again! A more disgusting service is hard to imagine. The place looks beautiful, but the staff seems to be doing everything on purpose so that people never come to them again. From the very beginning there was a feeling that they didn’t notice us at all, we had to look for the menu ourselves, look for people working there to make an order. Salads consisting of a tomato cut on the whole plate and mozzarella in the middle and french fries had to wait more than an hour. During this time, the visitors at the neighboring tables had already changed and their orders were brought faster than ours. The food to them was served in an absolutely relaxed manner, slowly, while we were waiting for our order. Of the entire order, we quickly received only three bottles of juice, and after an hour and a half of waiting, we wanted to pay only for them and leave. Only after that, we got the food. The rude and disrespectful attitude of the man from the staff had already spoiled the mood by that time. I would like to put 0 stars The staff was very rude and it was a very unpleasant experience. I do not recommend if you wanna have a lovely day at the beach, they will ruin your mood with their bad behavior.
