Really quiet area and a good walk to the caves of Gialle. One the way you will find nice trees and flowers. Once there it can be quite busy, just wait for a couple of minutes and people will leave the premises and you can easily take some nice pics! Nice hike, will do this again! The caves are awsome. Take care of wild animals. We saw some fresh wild pig traces, hair of a porcupine and many fox dens. A wonderful place, definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. There's a lovely path through the forest. You can park about 6-700 meters from the caves. Very cool Super nice place! Free parking and easy to find even though there are no signs. You can also see shells in the sandstone. Thanks to Sabrina Marcioni, we found it easily. Follow the Via vicinale Tane until 'Necropoli delle Tane' and park in the sand on the left (see my added photo at that location). You can tie your bike to a tree. Further down the road you see the gate of Felciatello, not the way to go. Where you parked starts a hilly sand path through the forest. Keep right at all junctions, have patience, until you see picknick tables on your left side. Further along the path are the yellow caves. The paths are beaten, no wading through high grass, no ticks. Use OpenStreetMap (OSM) to trace the suspected foot paths through the forest better than on Maps. There is a path behind the caves on the right, that might lead north towards the location Google navigation wants you to go (not tested). Nice walk down the small forest ( keep right and follow the biggest pathways) to easily reach the grottos. Perfect for a picnic. Only limited parking available no entrance fee...
