Seen better days, but great value for money and the kids enjoyed it. Had my sons birthday party here. Was in 1 and there were 6 boys playing. The kept breaking down and I kept having to go back to the desk to ask them to sort it. Staff were helpful. Eventually after it stopped working on about 4 separate occasions they changed the over to 2. The same thing started happening again. Had to keep going back to the desk for them to sort it. Each time it did this it took a good 3-5 mins to get it working again. Then suddenly the lights went out on the and the guy came over to say our time was up. Which was cheeky seeing as we had lost so much time due to the breaking down!!!! He agreed to let us play until the end. My wife had asked for the food not to be put out until we were done. After the game finished we then went round to find all the food laying out on the table going cold. This was very poor. The kids had a fun day but we just felt the overall experience was very poor. The lanes must have stopped working about 8-10 times over the 1 hour. The place looks good. Nice bar and seating area. Retro bowling experience. It seems like the alleys themselves could do with a good service. Fantastic had an amazing day I loved this place as took me right back to my childhood, with the older bowling displays I would say like playing retro bowling. Cheap and cheerful, it's a bit dated, needs a bit of updating, even the lanes have noticeable marks, divets and gouges, but for the kids it was fine, just dont expect a new personal high score... unless like me you use the bumpers, otherwise I might actually end up with a negative score! Great prices, work currently being done onsite but the useable lanes are perfectly fine. Only downside to this place was the staff. Fairly friendly but not overly interested in you or pay much attention. Called up to book but when we arrived they had no booking. Managed to get us a no problem but when asking our names for the screens was too busy chatting to colleagues and kept stopping. Later went to order food and I had to stand about waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Ordering and paying was a palaver, had to repeat order three times (2 burgers and a hotdog) then staff trying to work out change took ridiculously long. Food was good. Overall it’s great value for money and can overlook the ongoing refurbishment work but staff let it down. Not unkind or rude just inattentive. Great offers most of the time, great bowl, lots of gaming machines, cheap food & drinks but the place isn’t the cleanest and noisy, not very private (if you’re coming as a group or having a birthday).
