Fantastic location. Easy walk to train or bus to get to the city. The facilities are in very clean, as new condition and property as a whole, was lovely. The price is extremely high compared to all other places we've stayed in the UK and to be honest, had we known, we wouldn't have stayed. Just be mindful of this. We stayed at Red Deer Holiday Park for three nights and had a very good experience overall. The pitches are neat, spacious, and filled with gravel, which made setting up very easy. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, spread across two different buildings with separate areas for ladies and gentlemen. Check-in was smooth with a friendly welcome and clear explanation of everything we needed to know. The location is also convenient, with a train station just a 15-minute walk away. Trains run every half hour and take you straight into Glasgow. The only downside was the WiFi – it was extremely slow and often disconnected, which made it difficult to use. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and found it a comfortable base for exploring Glasgow Lovely quiet location despite being amongst a housing estate. 15 minute walk to Stepps train station. £5 return ticket into Glasgow. Spotless facilities. Friendly reception. Will definitely use again thank you This is a review just for the camping area, I don’t know about the holiday homes: Reception was super friendly and the place overall is really pretty and well kept. In my opinion, it is extremely overpriced though. The facilities were quite clean, but definitely not spotless and the shower was moldy and not up to standards (water way to hot, no water pressure), but at least free. I expected way more for the high price. At least it’s close to Glasgow central and you do feel safe with the locked gate. Stayed the night with a motorhome on our three-week-long tour around Scotland. This camp was the most expensive one and we had high expectations. We were disapointed by the chemical toilet disposal and by the number and equipment of the toilets and showers. Would not recommend for such an expensive price. We were attending a concert in Glasgow , and l was travelling home to the Highlands from Kent , so rather than drive home and then back down to Glasgow , l agreed to meet my partner at Red Deer , it was the closest site to the Royal Pavillion and had a MoHo pitch available at the top with grass. l was asked to pay for the two night stay in advance and given very clear instructions as to where my pitch was and given mobile numbers should l have a problem. The pitches are well spaced and immaculately kept, there are speed ramps and you asked to respect noise levels etc which is good for me. Any staff that l met were all polite and one grounds person was particularly helpful , sorry l never got your name , but you drive the digger ! This is a secure site with gates and you are given the code, may l take this opportunity to thank the young lady who answered the intercom late tuesday night after l forgot to take my phone out with the code on ! Sorry to disturb you. The local Pub the Stewart Inn and the Cafe are both very friendly. Taxis are reasonable and worth it if you just want to get home to bed ! We would have no hesitation in recommending Red Deer or returning. l see a lot of reviews are saying it is pricey , if you are the type of traveller who looks to park for free all the time or in car parks you may think this , but if you use sites l found this very much on a par with locations that do not offer a quick trip into Glasgow Town Centre , you get what you pay for. Note : this is a busy site and not one to be left to chance. Perhaps a hose or loo brush could be placed in the chemical waste area to help both the site and traveller in ensuring things are adequately cleaned down.
