Absolutely amazing experience. All are welcome and all are loved in a respectful, nurturing, healing space. The vegan food was delicious and prepared with a lot of love and thoughtfulness. It was a once in a lifetime experience to be able to stay here with the nuns and receive their loving kindness and wisdom. Thank you Plum Village 🙏 🪷 It was very good to come here for a week and rest and build up our capacity for mindfulness and compassion. It feels like I can communicate with more compassion and listen more attentive after being here. The nuns who live here really makes an effort to meet everyone lovingly, and the food is awesome! :) I have arrived, I'm home. Time to charge the soul, find peace in myself. Thank you dear & brothers, friends. Happiness is here & now. I'll come again someday. 😊 I had a wonderful time at Plum Village during a one-week retreat. I can’t thank the and brothers enough for their kindness and effort to maintain their traditions. I am still deeply touched and grateful 🙏❤️ A beautiful space and time , that offers joy, peace, compassion, and guidance on a spiritual pathway following the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. In Lower Hamlet, some of the were quite rude especially the ones from vietnam and there is one particular sister from UK with some attitude. This is a temple not an army school. To be informed that we laypersons were causing the temple to make a loss of income due to an unfortunate covid cluster and to have a week of visitors room reservations cancelled does make it sounds like this place is a profit making place. I don't think Thay will be happy to hear this. To that monastic from UK (Sister Tam M), please be more professional next time and stop displaying your attitude and threaten layfriends who paid for your daily expenses when they have some disagreements with you. The French were nice and friendly though. New Hamlet were much more friendlier and layfriends treated each other like close families. Can feel a very strong bond with each other in New Hamlet. Things have changed a lot ever since Thay passed on. What sort of discrimination is this? Who can participate ? Those who are 18 years old and above are invited to join this retreat whether you are beginners in mindfulness and meditation or experienced practitioners. In this retreat, the Monastery will only host men and couples. Women (only French speaking) will practice in Maison de l’inspir Monastery with the (we haven’t had program in English for women) Practice mindfulness. Live with the family. Together we are one.
