A small group of us asked Grape Escapes to create a bespoke through specific regions of the Loire Valley and ending in Champagne. It was a very specific request and Grape Escapes came through spectacularly! They provided a guide or driver for each region (Vourvray and Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, Chablis, and Champagne) and each person provided a personal touch and in-depth information. The recommended lunch spots were delicious and the hotels were fantastic. Already using them on another trip! My second GE experience was to Avignon, having been to Reims some years ago. We started with a tasting of Northern Rhone wines in Avignon, which advertised 3 wines but extended to 6 with the very enthusiastic and knowledgeable proprietor. We then spent a day and a half in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigonas, Vacqueyras and Rasteau with Céline, an experienced sommelier who lived in the area (and knew all the vignerons) after spending some years in high-end UK establishments. The two included meals were excellent, and overall it was a superb experience. Grape Escapes is definitely a "go to" company when booking wine tasting experiences in France! Six of us toured the Rhone Valley and my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 20th anniversary in Brittany, all organized through Grape Escapes! Their attention to detail is perfect. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Grape Escapes in planning our to Champagne, France, for my mom's 60th birthday. From start to finish, Amy and her incredible team took care of absolutely everything—beautiful accommodations, seamless transportation to and from each tasting, unforgettable meals, and every detail in between. They secured us reservations at the top champagne houses, where we enjoyed the most informative and memorable tours, as well as tables at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants that were nothing short of extraordinary. Every single moment felt curated and special, and the entire was perfectly planned with zero stress on our end. This was truly a 5-star, trip-of-a-lifetime experience, and we owe it all to the expertise and care of Amy and her team. The memories we made will last forever, and we couldn't recommend Grape Escapes more highly for anyone dreaming of the ultimate Champagne adventure. I've already emailed Amy to help us plan another trip, as I know Amy and her entire team will handle everything, and that's what makes a vacation an actual vacation - showing up, having fun, and making memories that will last a lifetime! We had an amazing Champagne with Grape Escapes. Everything was organised perfectly by Natalie Johnson, who was so helpful and accommodating with our special requests and timing. The Champagne houses we visited were all fantastic – especially Veuve Clicquot – and there was still time to explore, relax, and even fit in an extra couple tastings off the itinerary. The drivers were great too, particularly Hugo, who not only drove us safely but also shared lots of local knowledge and great tips. Highly recommend! This was our first holiday with Grapes Escapes. It was fantastic. Natalie created our itinerary, based in Saint-Emilion. We visited several chateaux in both the left and right banks. Our hotel, Hotel de Pavie, and its 2-star restaurant were incredible as were all the staff. Our package included the tasting menu on the first night, which was superb. Our friendly guide & driver taught us a huge amount about Bordeaux wine over two days. All the chateaux we visited were really interesting and the wines were amazing. We would definitely book with Grape Escapes again. What a great holiday. My mom and I booked a to Beaune and Marseille with Grape Escapes and it was fantastic! Amy put together a wonderful mother-daughter with a pastry class, wine tours and tastings, a food tour, and more. Everything was planned perfectly from one excursion to the next. I'm so pleased we booked our through Grape Escapes; Amy made the planning so easy and we were able to have a relaxing and enjoyable trip. Kyra and the entire team made sure we experienced all that the Loire Valley, Burgundy (Dijon and Beaune) and Champagne had to offer. They took care of lodging, transportation along with tours, tastings, lunches, and dinners across all three regions. They made our 10 day retirement the best! It was more than we hoped for.
