It was free to enter in March...nice sea views but average beach. La è molto bella e l'acqua oltre ad essere spettacolare ha dei colori eccezionali. La è molto lunga e permette di trovare sempre spazio (noi siamo stati la settimana di ferragosto e siamo arrivati verso mezzogiorno). Conviene impostare il navigatore su parcheggio la cittadella che si trova a circa 700 metri dalla spiaggia, ma se dovesse essere pieno, 200 metri prima ce ne è un altro, tutti e due costano 3,5€. Bisogna poi percorrere una strada privata che consente l'accesso al mare, dove ti da la possibilità di usufruire di una piccola libera, che sconsiglio, oppure entrare nella riserva pagando 3,5 € a persona o 7€ a famiglia ( si può pagare anche con il bancomat). Dopo entrati nella riserva c'è una molto lunga, può capitare di trovare qualche alga a riva, ma a noi non è successo. Ci sono pure i bagni chimici, non eccezionali, ma funzionanti. Amazing place. I still don’t understand why you have to pay to enter as it’s sort of natural park so should be free to public. But no, like everything here you pay, pay and pay! Nevertheless the most ridiculous thing is that they tell you not to litter (but people litter like pigs anyway) but the most stupid is that you go out with all your garbage but there’s no bin to throw away anything! And the is full of garbage anyway just as the whole Sicily is just covered in garbage. It’s ridiculous. Looks like if you are in third world country. Si parcheggia nei pressi dell’ottava strada di San Lorenzo gratuitamente, poi si entra nella riserva pagando 7 euro per famiglia. Si percorre circa due trecento metri e si arriva alla spiaggia. On the you find a lot of plastic and garbage… the trails look quite abandoned and without proper information. Anyways hard to see any wild life animals. 3 men on the entrance controlling and make you pay to enter the - should not this be public space ??? 3,50€ for going to the which is not thaaaat nice anyways??? I don’t mind paying if I find a place which someone actually cares of. Instead dirty beach, many broken and old signs where you cannot find a lot of information. The dunes are protected area and a ugly fence makes it impossible to pass … so there is not a lot of space to actually spend a nice day at the beach. One men run behind us in order to tell us we are to close to the dunes, but where we sat down there was no fence and no indication … well he should rather pick up some plastic waste than complaining tourist behave wrong when they not even get informed … We were quite unlucky with the weather conditions and had a windy day where the water was quite wavy and chaotic. Besides plastic also loads of seaweed and wood stranded on the and seams that no one would clean this … Instead of hiring 3 men for a single ticket office - this money for this salary could be invested in more useful things … Last but not least … how is it possible that it is a load to do so many waste burning around this area if this actually is a natural reserved area ???
