In the middle of the forest, great atmosphere, and a decent choice of beers and some food. Awesome place to stay, even if only for a night. We were visiting the Bauhaus and found it somewhat at the last minute. We were three (me, wife and brother in law) and stayed in the attic room: it’s a jewel. Cosy, with very good beds and shower. The breakfast is really amazing: a selection of all forms of ham and “Wursts” Germany is famous for. Don’t be scared on the way in, it’s actually pretty close to the city center and there is only a bit of unpaved road. I’ve stumbled across this charming, hidden forest gem a couple of times on my bike tours. I’ve stayed in one of the little cabins, warmed by a wood burning stove& also enjoyed traditional German food& drink in the sunny beer garden. I love this place Definitely the best hotel I've ever been to. The surrounding view was incredible, and staff insanely nice to me. Would love to spend some more time there!!!
