Just had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Duck. The food was great, the staff were excellent and the ducks outside were very entertaining! A classic country pub serving good food. A comfy bar and restaurant area that can accommodate couples and large groups easily. A large garden will be really nice in the summer. A huge car park so there should never be an issue no matter the size of your event. A surprising find! Excellent food, service, and experience - we were thrilled with our dinner! The restaurant is clean and newly renovated with excellent taste. The dishes are superb! I had the duck, which was better than a 5 star fancy restaurant in France. Wow!! Each dish was prepared with fabulous taste and exquisite presentation. The starters were also outstanding and the dessert very tasty - better than any restaurant for miles around! Truly an oasis of flavor. We will DEFINITELY be back! Great fish and chips here whilst stopping on a bike ride. Friendly staff and nice pub and surroundings. They had Wilkins cider on tap which was a big bonus We were late walk-in but the staff was friendly and accommodating. We were very grateful when we were told we could still sit down and order hot food after 3pm. Food was delivered and service was attentive. No fuss about splitting the bills when we paid. The decor of the restaurant was modern and stylish. Definitely would recommend and would love to return to try other dishes on the menu! Our favoutite! Guaranteed to serve excellent food. The service was fantastic, all staff were welcoming, polite, friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and good quality. My partner got the Fish and Chips - he said it is the best Fish and Chips he has had in a pub. I had the Duck Breast, Sauté Potatoes, Pak Choi etc. it was great - duck was cooked perfectly, the veg, potatoes and sauce was delicious. Reasonably priced. We visited the duck at Burtle yesterday (Tuesday) for a meal at lunchtime with family. It was very quiet but we were met with a very warm welcome and shown to our table. The food was outstanding. Very generous portions, hot and delicious. I had the ham, duck eggs and chips. It was excellent, as were all the meals, and very reasonably priced too. Fantastic service. It's not the first time we have been here and it certainly won't be the last.
