Love visiting this beach, we have been here in all seasons. It's always lovely and quiet and always clean. Lovely ice cream man on a bike comes past in summer. Free parking by the sea wall and a brilliant kids play area. We spent 4 hours just in the park today. Very nice and varied play for kids including a sand play area, picnic tables and a basketball area. The whole is secured with fencing around the parameter to stop little ones wandering off. The quieter side of Herne Bay, grab a pint at the Hampton Inn and watch the sunset across the bay. Love it here definitely my happy place my only worry is the speeding cyclist..( why can't they ring a bell when approaching people from behind) I live in Hampton. Sunsets are great. The local Hampton inn is a great spot to view them. A wonderful stretch of coastline away from the hustle and bustle of Herne bay town centre, makes for a very pleasant stroll with views of Tankerton and The Isle of Sheppey on the horizon.
