A magnificent gathering of collections from archaeology through to the treasury of the cathedral next door (also well worth visiting). Housed in the Archbishop's palace. Well displayed and very interesting due to its variety. Interesting for English visitors as it houses Thomas a'Becket's vestments in the treasury (as he was exiled there prior to his death at Canterbury cathedral). A must see in this city. Archeology, art & artefacts arranged & displayed on 3 different floor levels, chronologically organized, reminding of Burgundy shining religious & human past.... 😉 A must visit, when crossing Sens!!!! Je vous laisse quelques photos. Je conseille vivement ce musée. Nous avons passé 2h sans se presser. Superbe musée. Très grand, très varié dans un magnifique bâtiment historique. Juste à côté de la cathédrale. Personnel de l'accueil et dans les salles super sympa. Prévoyez beaucoup de temps car il y a énormément à voir, Des objets, pièces magnifiques, uniques. De la préhistoire à l'antiquité au trésor de la cathédrale jusqu'aux peintures. Étonnamment peu dr visiteurs. L'entrée n'est pas très chère : 7 € et valable toute la journée. Il y a des chaussettes obligatoires à l’entrée pour ne pas y marcher en chaussures celle-ci sont payantes 3€ mise sur le prix du billet directement. Un peu cher pour ce qu’il y a à faire.
