This review must be seen from the viewpoint of Western European tourists (2 adults, 3 kids) Structurally, it’s a top-facility: the buildings are beautifull, the garden is beautifull and well-maintained, the rooms are very close to the private beach, the view is wonderfull, the beach is perfect with chairs, umbrellas and all kinds of water-toys for small kids and big kids :-) included. The restaurant on-site is open all day, and the quality of the food is good at a correct price. The rooms are normal in size, and they are properly cleaned when arriving. All this would lead to a 4 or 5 star review… but then, unfortunately, I must concur with other reviewers about the hotelmanagement that misses professionalism. Note that most of the following issues could easily be resolved very low-cost. * the dinner table inside the apartment is a lightweight plastic garden table with plastic chairs (come on!) * the closets in the bedrooms only had ‘hanging’ compartments, but what you need is shelves * the airco didn’t blow, so i cleaned the filter myself (that’s really very easy but hadn’t been done in ages), and then it worked properly * when 5 people book a room, why are there only 2 knives and 3 small spoons in the drawer? * ‘fully equipped kitchen’ – but it doesn’t have a cooker hood. So best not really use the stove… * WiFi: it’s there but it’s too weak, so useless * probably the worst of all: the state of the mattresses. I’m not going to go into detail, but they are old and there are no real hotel-grade mattress protectors covering them (only simple fitted sheets… don’t look under them!). Why did we? When 3 kids come, surely one of them will be wanting to sleep in the top bunkbed… but that wasn’t made ready. When 5 people rent a ‘deluxe-room’ for 9 nights (nine!), don’t be cheap and/or lazy and just make all 6 of the beds… come on! Why didn’t I discuss all this immediately? Because of the huge language barrier: it was quite hard to even have the simplest communication. I didn’t detect any effort from the hotel staff’s side (I speak English, French, and did my very best to speak some Italian). Conclusion: with some small investments, but above all a more professional hotelmanagement this place could easily be turned into a paradise (and a goldmine).
