Great fun. My daughter and her friends loved it, and immediately, they were off and had fun. There are loads of trampolines, and the foam pits were their favourite and pretending to be gladiators. The is good and has meal deals with a slush that varies in price, but as a given, it starts at £5 and the hotsog is a good size. We will definitely be going back again. I've taken the to most of the parks in and around Newcastle/Gateshead and this one is definitely the worst. I wouldn't necessarily say it's anything to do with the equipment inside (because a is a trampoline, well at least to me anyway). But it's extremely overpriced for what you get, my were in there for 50 minutes before they were told to leave at a cost of £37. Plus another £25 on very poor food, there's barely anything to choose from. The place also lacked any sense of fun, they employees act more like the military, the second a child crosses a trampoline, enters the softplay or runs around they're stopped in their tracks (and I get theyre trying to keep everyone safe, which is great, but there are ways and means of enforcing the rules). It was also very quite for early on a Sunday afternoon, that isn't a gripe as I can often find these places too busy, but I can see the reason why after my visit. Shocking... We had from our local but still had to purchase their own branded (which were inferior and kept sliding round our feet). Then had to pay for a non refundable locker... The first we have ever had to do this at, the rest are free. Bearing in mind this was a SEN session, so it's not always possible for the to take instruction well... The was empty and the came to me a couple of times to tell them not to on the same (they were chasing each other), they were told they couldn't go in the soft because they were too old and couldn't go on the wipe out because they were too young (my son 11 years and 11 months... But it's for 12 olds)..... People who are disabled don't always understand why they can't go on something and so we left early because my son was crying. Also, freezing.... Absolutely freezing - I think I might have frost bite. It wasn't just the air temp, the floor was ridiculously cold (and you're bare foot) ... Again, we have a local which we use weekly and it doesn't have the same issue. Also, Rusty equipment... So cut yourself on the monkey bars and you'll get tetanus. Also, it's clearly not cleaned at all. I've been to a lot of parks and this is by far the worst and they don't cater for disabled kids.... Plus, it's the most expensive. Will never return. We’ve been to other parks in the north east and this one certainly offers the most and is the one the always want to come back to. here are so friendly and helpful, we’ve always had the best experience! My daughter had her birthday party here, party host was brilliant, the food was fantastic and the party room with the lights and Bluetooth speaker came in so handy entertaining the kids! Other reviews about the roof leaking are so outdated, we were told by they had a new roof installed earlier this and the place is completely dry. Quiet during term time so the (visiting from oz) had the run of the place. They loved it and the were really kind. Def a recommendation to go Expensive entrance fee, compared to better parks. Rude and arrogant staff, who are very cheeky and defensive when asked about their policy. Can't use from other parks (other parks don't have an issue with this). Overpriced cafe, children licking the pick and mix sweets and putting them back, whilst this is their parents fault, the member who seen didn't intervene. Stay clear! Go to another park, where they don't rip you off for socks, offer polite and helpful staff, and even more importantly ensure the food/sweets they are selling are not licked by others! My son had fun and with a discount code the price for an hour was ok but I thought when I booked he would get to have a on the soft but that wasn't the case. Once I seen the soft it's actually ridiculous that they charge for this separately as it's very small in the corner of the cafe! The fact they make you purchase their own is also ridiculous! I had some from another soft that are the same and do the same job. Also all are miserable especially the woman on the desk who lacks a personality spouting about "company policy" with a serious face. The place was pretty quiet for a Saturday so that in itself speaks volumes. It was our first and last visit I would rather drive to Durham than go back there. Can't say we had a great experience at Giants. The were helpful and more than happy to accommodate us (we were the only two people in the whole venue), but I thought the lacked in a lot of areas. I took a 6 old who couldn't access much because of her height. She was only able to access two areas in the whole - the foam pit and the basic area. There was a reaction that was too high for her, a basketball that was also too high and she wasn't tall enough for the ninja or wipe out area. This really did take a lot of the fun out of our visit. I think this should be made more clear before booking. I also didn't appreciate that the lockers were non-refundable. I know this sounds very little, but after paying £17 to attend, £6 for socks, it really feels like you don't also need to take my locker money too. We've attended a lot of these types of activities and I've never had my locker money be non-refundable. The was clean, the were friendly but I won't be going here again. I would not recommend giants, if you are thinking of booking a party or any event here, I’d think again. I brought my daughter here today for her 6th birthday with family (this cost around £120) and we had to pay for separately despite already having with grips on, because they weren’t purchased from giants there proceeded to to charge us an extra £4 per person for exactly the same socks. The customer service was absolutely shocking, I was told to ‘make it quick’ as we were busy singing happy birthday to my daughter and was told I wasn’t allowed her cake in the due to ‘air borne allergies’ but if I’d paid for a party room, it would be fine to have a cake there. The lack of competence from the shows how poor the management must be. As we complained to the young dark haired girl on the desk on the way out, she was just as rude. Think again. giants, or ‘flexibucket land’ as it should be renamed, has more holes in its roof than a slice or Swiss cheese, making for a very slippery experience on wet days. Quite ironic how hell bent they are on health and safety. Honestly I think even the Gestapo would visit here and think they’re being too harsh, bringing another issue to light… the way the talk to people. I saw grown men being scolded like naughty school for being in the same vicinity of their own children, while 10 feet to left someone else is slipping on a wet patch nearly breaking their neck. Do they care about that though? Na. Such a disappointment. Went to complain at the end but got told ‘we know your name’, like they’re going to show up at my house in the middle of the night and shoot me in the leg. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t be surprised if it was gone within 6 month. Sort your roof out and give it a clean! Honestly- horrendous! Took two 8 olds and my 1 old last week. Older children bombing around the soft (for under 5’s) daughter getting knocked over by them every 2 minutes. asked children to leave three times but older children went straight back in. We gave up on this and paid an extra £25(!!!??) for my 1 old to for the final half an hour. The main was ABSOLUTELY freezing. 1 old cried and her feet were frozen. 8 olds also complaining about being so cold. Nearly £70 for an absolurely shocking experience. So please know if your child is under 1.2m all they can use is a trampoline. Never seen the wipe out zone in use once. Building is freezing cold. Staff are absolute fun police.
