We had a fantastic of Puglia for four in June with this company. Everyone was so helpful and all the information provided was extremely useful. The were (3 e and 1 normal) and the navigation system was brilliant. We never got lost!! We enjoyed many of the recommended cafes and restaurants on the way. The 60km daily distance was also just right!!! It’s a beautiful part of Italy, people were all really friendly and the food and drink just excellent!!! and Company! We loved our time. Everything was smooth, well planned, and perfect. The small towns that we went through were amazing, and the accommodations that they found with their excellent in country knowledge was better than we could have done with online searching. Not only that, but it saved us tons of time, and made it more of a vacation. We felt pampered, in amazing, beautiful country side, beautiful accommodations, and all of that for a cost! Thank you! 10 stars out of 5. This company does a fantastic job. We did a self guided tour. OMG!!!! I chose the hotels and they provided the e-bike, a GPS with loaded routs and the support. The value is on the routes that they set. You can trust them 100%. Beautiful small roads lined with small rock knee walls through the country side with beautiful views and no cars the mayority of thee time. Service is spectacular. They are always available. This is our first in a tour. We did 230 kilometers in four days. I would riding four days instead of three. This was a wonderful experience. Their knowledge, guidance and the beauty of Puglia make it very special. Everything was in every aspect. I that you use WhatsApp to communicate. This is a wonderful operation. We have booked many self-guided cycling tours and this one was as good as any of them. (Note: we have not booked their guided tours so look for reviews from those customers if that is your plan.) Of course, it helps to be in Puglia, with gorgeous scenery and history and weather, but what distinguishes Puglia Tours is the service. From the beginning, our contact person, Valentina, was 100% responsive and effective, a joy to work with. The bicycles were new and very sturdy with all the features we needed. And then she even did the legwork for me to book an after-ride massage as a surprise for my spouse! The luggage service was ahead of schedule with each delivery and a tiny noise in my front wheel led to an immediate replacement at our hotel. Again, service. Each hotel was local, unique and charming in their own ways a wonderfully friendly. The breakfasts were varied and always delicious. (It is Italy, after all.) We this company very highly and would use them again without shopping around should we be back this way. We are seasoned travellers who have completed 10 cycling trips around the world. Having just competed an 11 day cycling in Puglia. From start to finish the was exceptional. Communication was prompt and easy, addressing any issues we might have had. Accommodation was above what was expected, ranging from sophisticated hotels (Matera and Lecce) to a farm house stay. It allowed you to immerse yourself in the culture and the people as your rode through the countryside. And as you decide the restaurants, so you can make the decisions as to the establishments you go, which is not always available on most tours. We also had two older ladies cycling most of the way with us, and the company had and did give them a lot of assistance before hand and during to calm any concerns or questions they had. In other words they were always available for assistance if needed. I can honestly say that it was a soul lifting experience that we would not have wanted to miss. One drawback, was that the Ride with GPS system was not working with their phones they provided and could only be used on your own. This will hopefully be corrected in the near future. Our was the Cycling in Puglia during 8 days of middle September 2025. The contact and planning stage with Puglia Cycling Tours was very easy and all information received was clear and effective. Our contact was Chiara who gave us all support needed. Thank you very much Chiara. We arrived to Bari airport and a transportation service was requested to go to Alberobello where the started. The first experience was to have a beautiful Trulli reserved for our stay. Wow!!! It was really a surprise for us. The briefing sesión was complete and conditions were ok. On first day I noticed the seat was not confortable for me so I called for support and in the same day evening they brought a more confortable seat to be installed. It was the only issue during the whole trip. This was the first at Puglia and we loved it. The plan was very well selected. Special mention to the GPS self guided app. It was so easy to be guided and I have to congratulate the people who developed the routes and all information included. Hotels were from amazing (Alberobello, Monopoli, Otranto) to OK (Ostuni). Breakfast included were excellent ( Alberobello, Ostuni, Otranto,Martano) to not so good at Monopoli. I have to say that we are in love with Puglia after this trip. The places, the landscape, the food, the people were different then other trips to Italy (north and center). Puglia has a very unique flavor. Regarding security, we never felt insecure on the roads. The route goes trough safe roads even close to the largest cities as Lecce. We would like to spend more at the coastal area.It is beautiful !!! May be next we expect to have a trough the coast towns staying more days at Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Otranto. Torre dell Orso….. We used e-bikes during the and it was a most for me and my wife based on our age……The idea is to enjoy the not to suffer…. We really Puglia Cycling Tours and look forward to enjoy to travel with them. Terrific experience! Would definitely do again. My wife and I did a custom 3 day designed by Puglia Tours covering the entire Puglian coastline. The route was designed very well and really took us through breathtaking (and yet long and sometimes difficult!) parts of the coast. The team was extremely communicative in designing the routes, and the cost was very fair. Accommodations made were all great, and the very nice touch of giving us recommendations of things to see/places to eat along our route each day. Only some small feedback on both of our (one didn't have a water bottle holder), and a couple other minor items. Otherwise, we really had a terrific experience and would to anyone as a and unique was to see a region! weeklong solo ride (6 days, ~350 miles) organized by Puglia tours. I highly working with them. Silvia helped me plan everything and was very responsive. Practical items: I chose a solo route because I ride a fair amount of miles and the organized groups didn't do as much distance. This meant a lot of lonely miles and a different experience. That said, I'd do it again. Routing is through the center of the towns; this slows you down but IMO is worth it; the sightseeing is kind of built-in. Puglia Tours gives you a GPS device that you mount on your bike, with each day's route on the device. THIS WORKED AMAZINGLY WELL. I also rented a (shown in pics) i had zero mechanicals (a dry chain does not count :) and the tires were brand new. Brought my own pedals. My route was 95%+ on very quiet roads, with the trade off being that they were relatively rough. I was fine on a road bike, but if i could do it again I'd go with a gravel bike. Accomodations were excellent. My bags were transported each day and they were always in my next hotel when i got there. The highlight for me was Matera ( not in Puglia, sorry!) which blew my mind, even though I needed to do laundry and therefore could not see everything. Also the stretch from Alta Murgia>Poggiorsini> Gravina in Puglia was amazing. And finally, Lecce, which had vibes. I'll be back! We had a of a lifetime thanks to Puglia tours! You never know exactly what to expect, but they exceeded our expectations. Valentina was extremely helpful and responsive during the planning, and also during the with our needs. Would highly recommend!! Puglia is bellissimo and Puglia Tours were outstanding! bikes, thoughtful and stunning routes, accurately represented in the elevation and distance notes, GPS system, lovely and friendly hotels, back up. Just completed our 15-day self-guided of Puglia and it was amazing. Puglia Tours did work to ensure our was a success. hotels, awesome bikes, turn by turn directions that were easy to follow, and moved our stuff every day. Highly highly traveling with them. They were incredibly responsive and to work with. The only way to do a of Puglia - with Puglia Tours - due to warm, fantastic hospitality, perfect organisation and amazing accommodation. We had such a fantastic trip! We went of the Heart of Puglia at the end of Oct. Apparently the weather can be a little rainy or cold this of year, but it was perfect everyday for us, sunny and warm in the day, light jacket at night. Logistics were all good. Alessandra helped us book and answered all our questions. This was our first biking so we had a lot of them. Payment was easy and I felt that the communication before the did everything it needed to. We had a 16 person group, some couples, some singles, from US, New Zealand, Australia, and UK. A range of ages, and I think we got along well. A few people in the group used roadbikes and were obviously very strong cyclists, often at the head of the group. I used an ebike and am so happy with my choice. It was a nice, well kept bike. You can set it at 0, so you're still doing a lot of work, or increase the assistance. I couldn't have gotten up some of the hills without it. Luckily we had a van following us. I would strongly making sure your group is large enough to qualify for van support (I think the minimum is 6). Things you get with van support: a ride up any hill you can't get up, extra traffic blocking at intersections, and picnic lunches. The hotels were all very nice and clean. Our final one in Lecce was really incredible, while some others were just nice. But we were only there to shower and sleep so that really doesn't matter to me. Piero took our luggage from reception and brought it in each day. We're so grateful for that! Not having to carry suitcases around after a day of biking was so nice. All the food that was recommended was good. I'm happy that only one dinner was included. Between coffee stops (Adriano made excellent recommendations of regional coffee styles!) and lunch, we usually split a meal for dinner. Ok, the trip: Puglia was beautiful. Our guides Cristina and Adriano are local, and it's obvious how much they love the region and want to share it. The biking was a good speed, and they did a job keeping us all together. I in the city at home, so having someone physically blocking intersections so we could feel safe was great. They knew the route and warned us of any obstacles. A good mix of biking and stops for photos and history. The olive oil tasting was a highlight! I really can't say enough good things about their work as guides or as hosts. I would absolutely this trip. Thanks again to Cristina, Adriano, and Piero! Wonderful heart of Puglia cycling tour. We thought we were crazy going in mid November but it was lovely. Perfect temperature to in the day. Crisp in the evening and definitely jacket and scarf weather in evening. Cristina was best guide ever. She was patient with the difference in cycling speed between my husband and I. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and nature. The daily rides were pleasant with majority being on quiet roads. I highly the company and look forward to our next tour. Fantastic trip. We loved every minute. We were given advice for a mid summer tour. The Puglia team were flexible, knowledgeable and highly professional. Antonio gave us a superb handover, Allessandro was always responsive and the bikes/ GPS system were fantastic. A wonderful company - thank you We really enjoyed ourselves on our self-guided tour. From the booking process with Silvia, through to the briefing from Alfreddo, and chats through the ride from Valentina, everything was great. The routes were varied, on quiet roads and really showed us the Puglian countryside. The accommodation was perfect and the hybrid worked well. We brought our own saddles and handlebar grips and these were no problem. We wouldn't hesitate to Puglia Tours. Grazie Cristina, Adriano, and Piero! The Heart of Puglia rocked!! Went on my first (and my first riding an e-bike) with my daughter. She did extensive research and chose Puglia based on our criteria. I chose Puglia. I was nervous as I’m 65 and clumsy. I wanted to make sure we had guides and a van in case I couldn’t hang or my failed. The could not have been better from beginning where we stayed in a cave in Matera, to the end when we stayed at an unbelievable hotel in the center of Lecce. I was a “nervous Nelly” and they ensured I was comfortable with the and checked everyone regularly. The sights and educational stops were perfect. The coffee stops and special coffee and unique pastry recommendations were just plain fun. Group dinners were a joy. The group was diverse and interesting and we bonded. All food recommendations were good and we didn’t have to manage the decision and reservation making after biking. The protection from traffic they provided was invaluable. The ending was sad and that’s a good thing! Nothing better than a vacation that you don’t want to end. We are already planning our next trip. Highly encourage this company, Puglia, and this wonderful guide team !!! Each town we visited was on our list of towns to visit in Puglia. The Olive 🫒 Oil was a hoot. Was sorry to see the end but more trips to follow 🚲 A wonderful relaxed summer-time experience of a complete Apulian gastronomic cycling adventure with Cristina, our guide - from the mountains of the north (ex-Matera), to the stunning coast-lines of the south (ex-Lecce). This was a truly local, authentic Apulian experience with breath-taking scenery along the way, resting in very comfortable accommodations with plenty of local dining options - the seafood of Puglia is second to none! Bravo Cristina and the team at Puglia Cycling Tours, the Grand Giro is a gem of a tour. One of the highlights of our entire trip! Amazing scenery, history, food and lot's of good pedaling! We loved everything about this trip. We did a custom with Sylvia from Puglia Tours in October and November of 2024. (Me 60 years old woman) traveled with my young adult son. The rides were fun and we felt safe with the average daily distance of 50kms were mostly on secondary roads and trails. It felt as though we passed by hundreds of Trulli houses. We loved the scenery which varied from gorgeous towns complete with a castle or fort in each to beautiful rides through vineyards, olive groves and stunning coastal roads. The phone that was provided for each rider had easy to follow step by step instructions and a map. Like any GPS system the turn by turn directions made for very easy to follow routes. The GPS system gave a warning when we went off the route and would correct for a new route on its own. The co. moving our bags from hotel by hotel was easy and efficient and allowed us to focus on our fun for the day. The hotels and apartments that we stayed in were all fabulous. I prefer boutique hotels and was delighted by each place that we stayed in. The phone provided had recommendations for activities, sites to see, restaurants and little overviews of history on the villages and cities that we rode into. The (me E-bike) my son (gravel bike) were in condition and were really good bikes. I would not this ride on a road - a gravel is a better choice. The company booked us in for a few wine tastings and a stay at a gorgeous winery with a fabulous dinner. Sylvia was very easy to deal with. I changed my mind a few times about what we were doing and each she patiently came up with a new plan. She made this easy and I loved it so much that I plan on returning in May with my husband. Puglia Tours was wonderful prior to and during our trip! Very responsive and reassuring even when we unexpectedly rang their doorbell at their office as we were traveling through their home town. The accommodations, routes and recommendations were all spot on. What a beautiful region! We had a wonderful from Matera to Otranto. We are two Kiwis who enjoyed seeing things so different from our own country. We had new bikes, e-bikes, with clear instructions about use and recharging. Our first interaction when the were delivered was very positive. We had wonderful accommodation along the way and just enough 'team' interaction with other cyclists whom we met for dinner the first night and came across from to along the way. A highlight was the Puglia base of Putignano, on the crest of a hill. Fabulous local food and good recommendations. The app we used made navigation a breeze. We spent a day on a private guided with Puglia cycling. It was from start to finish. Every point of contact was professional and prompt. Our guide Cristina was fabulous. So personable and knowledgeable and ready to make our day optimal. She rode us through gorgeous quiet country roads where we barely saw a car. We road through 3 small towns. At any busy intersection she could stop traffic like a boss !! I’d Puglia cycling to anyone who wants to see the Puglia region in a more active way while learning about the culture too. An amazing with Puglia Tours! We did the 8 day Alberobello to Lecce late September/ early October. Very well organized from the beginning communications to the end of riding! The cycling tracks were so good - and routed on the provided GPS. Very little vehicle traffic and endless photo shoot opportunities with such amazing scenery! Unique accommodations that were top notch - and that provided a breakfast to fuel the day’s riding. Excellent equipment - we rented road and appreciated the shock absorbers on the seat post and drop bars. tires too - no flats! Super friendly staff! A very slick organization that delivered a seamless and wonderful touring vacation for us. A customized that exceeded our expectations both with the quality of hotel choices and the planned route. I highly Puglia Tours to organize your next adventure. My 8 day of Puglia was superb! Every day was filled with wonderful cycling and cultural experiences. So many amazing unique places such a Matera, Locorotondo and Alberobello, baroque Lecce and many other gems! My brilliant guide, Cristina, was so knowledgeable and her good pace, clear directions and scheduling made the cycling safe and a pleasure. I thoroughly the Heart of Puglia tour! I highly Puglia Tours. bikes. Wonderful route planning, overnight stays, restaurants and especially the support team and our guide Cristina gave us a relaxing and fun time. Puglia Cycling Tours provided an excellent 7-day with 5 days of cycling, unique picturesque stays, meals and a group of 3 amazing guides to support us. We had a terrific time! My husband and I booked a self guided with Puglia and it was an amazing experience. The company is amazing they answered all our questions super promptly, the organisation of the was perfect, all the accommodation was beautiful, the were great, and the maps/ GPS were super organised, easy to use and follow. Francesco was such an amazing help and support with organising and throughout the trip! Have already recommended this company to friends and family and will definitely book another next we are in Italy!
