Been there on a hike on a rainy day, stony beach, lots of sea grass, fishy smell and locked down parking places - I guess those will change in the season. Hiking there was great tho, 10/10 The place really made my first evening in Elba the have good food and a very nice view direct to the sea and I love it when I see the sun is setting is very beautiful Felt like s pretty non touristy, rather secluded which was a very pleasant surprise. The nearby restaurant or bar is pretty expensive but offers plenty of options which make up for it. It's a rock and the dried algae mixed with the stones tend to get stuck on anything but it's not too inconvenient. Getting in and out of the water can be a bit of a challenge as the slippery stones make it hard to properly walk in the shallow parts, however once you do get in it's wonderful, not the best snorkeling but it's worth to bring your gear anyways. If you're overly motivated you can hike to an even more secluded nearby :) Absolutely beautiful! Nice rocky beach, not very big but you park and therevis a nice restaurant Top A picturesque bay with fantastic, crystal-clear water. The was not overcrowded in July and there was always free parking directly at the access. Bathing shoes are not a must as the stones are not sharp-edged, but I still recommend them. There is a possibility to climb up a small hill and from the top you have a marvellous view of the bay and even as far as Portoferraio. A canoe for 2 people can be hired for €10 an hour to explore the coastline. A dream place for me! Not worth the visit. At Elba you are spoiled with beautiful beaches. This one is packed in summer by mostly Italian holiday makers. Dogs are everywhere. The water is not so clear as it seems until you swim far out. The sea bottom is quite rocky and slippery all the way. A little overpriced bar and locals renting out sun beds. They could take the time cleaning up the sand. The rocky cliffs makes the a little spectacular though. There are also hiking paths from the to the top of the hill side that gives you a good view over the and surroundings.
