Beautiful partly restorated V1 launch site. There is a route which brings you along the different bunkers. Most of the bunkers were bombed and so are empty and have nothing inside. Some bunkers have a description of what their use was. Also there is a small rail train that was used to partly transport the V1 rockets and there is a V1 launcher including a V1 replica. Also there is an amagnetic building used to set the destiny of the V1 rocket. Overall, worth the visit. There is a parking space next to it. Very interesting place. A ww2 v1 site. Whilst not a lot of accessible buildings there is still enough for those with an interest in ww2. Freely accessible all year round. Gravel car park. Amazing well preserved V1 launch We were exploring the forest and came across this historic place. It was a wonderful and peaceful walk around with lots of history with a launch area for a V1 bomb during WWII. The walk around the only took 15 minutes but there were lots of interesting information with signs and facts written in French, German and English. It was an interesting and beautiful walk. Poignant reminder of the atrocities of war. Well kept site, very informative and an interesting visit. Free to park and visit, but limited parking. Great piece of well preserved ww2 history The walking paths are made of concrete and easy to navigate, although there are some structures you may want to see closer and may require you pass through some grassy areas that may get muddy depending on the weather. As always when visiting historical sites in northern France - wear rain boots if you can! The is a short walk from a gravel parking area. There is plenty of shaded parking and the entire took about 45 min. to an hour. Don't miss the signs (and the back of the main sign which has a map of what you are seeing - if you are doing a self-guided tour). Structures are numbered. You can also see several trenches and creators that remain. This was a great stop for any WW2 or military history enthusiast! * I am not able to include any pictures of the actual rocket/launchpad without it violating Google policy, but there are many other pictures you can see in other reviews if needed. The is situated in woodland and is worth a if you are in the area. It was free to enter and due to the time we were treated to a wonderful display of fungi. Well worth a if you are in the area.
