Greenkeepers keep the course in excellent nick. Greens are in top condition for a municipal course. Far better than some other clubs I've played. Probably the best council girl course in the United Kingdom Decent course and a very reasonable price. Can be quite a trek on some holes but overall it's well kept course. Some easier holes and some a bit more tricky. Sad news now that it looks like it will be closing due to funding. course for being a public one. Very challenging even for the more experienced player. First class municipal course that's so underrated. Some lovely holes and currently in condition. Extremely welcoming and friendly bunch really makes this a day out for any golfer. Looks easy but can be deceiving This is fantastic municipal course. Challenging and scenic. We'll maintained( better than a lot of private clubs). Quite a busy course but managed to get around in 4.5 hours and lost two balls!!! Course was in condition and value. Thanks to those looking after it. I don't often leave reviews for golf courses. I've played all sorts of courses but honestly, this is the best municipal course I've ever played! Value for money is unreal. Everyone (staff and players) I spoke to were very friendly. It is a trek in places and it's not easy so not for the feint hearted but a truly fantastic course. Sure, the bunkers and tee boxes could use some improvement and yea, another sign or 2 to keep you headed the right way would be good but that's part of the charm. Still one of the toughest tests of golf. The Wee Drap is an amazing par 3 ( 12th). Definitely recommend Dalmuir to anybody looking for a challenge.
