Largs town has several good eateries and as many good pubs. my favourite being JG Sharps Nelson St. where good food and live music are constant. Largs is one of the classier west coast resorts maintaining a lot of its old Victorian Charm. On the last day of summer, with the sun setting and an ice cream in hand. This is the best place to be Nice spot with a great view and plenty of places to eat and drink. The Vikingar experience is definitely worth a visit (tours on the half hour) and really interesting. Excellent especially when the sun is out and the weather is nice. Extremely packed with people on the weekends. Almost impossible to find parking. Good ice cream and fish and chips options around!! Really enjoyed the evening stroll even though it was cloudy and windy at this sea shore. Vikings statue is standing tall infront of the church. It's a reminder of a last war with Vikings. Kids will also love this beach. There are couple of food chains on the side. If you love to be away from the rush and ideal place. Will catch glimpse of ferries and ship near the harbour. Sky ,sea ,sun ,views of the Hebrides. do you need any more….. Easy access for railway station. Beautiful view and pathway near the stretches for 2 miles which is awesome. Peaceful environment… Lovely place. Was very windy the they I went. It's great walk for the family. Nice play park for children. Some carousels and lovely food close by a bit pricy but if its for a treat it's worth it. Toilets free on a side. Paied car park very closed to the beach. Lovely place. Went during the Viking Festival so it was very busy but there is beautiful views and great weather. My partner and couple of friends visited and had a lovely time. We had fish and chips on the front followed by ice cream and a walk all around the shops. Was lovely to see the Ferry going back and forth with the passengers. Not to mention the finale of the day watching and chatting with John and Patricia and hearing there story. Not bad for being 78 and 92 years old. Beautiful couple!!! Will be back again in the summer!! Nice and enjoyable walk by the seaside. I was surprised to sea the swans swimming in the sea. Place to remember the Viking’s invasions with a beautiful festival once a year and a visitor’s centre. Be Aware of the signs! do not make the mistake to grab a snack and go to the beach, otherwise you’ll be surrounded by dozens of seagulls in seconds.
