Beautifully restored wood wall of the viking village/castle (Trelle borg, hence the name from this city). Impressive how the original construction was found after a dig and partially reconstructed. The wood castle itself can be visited at all times and is free of charge. The has specific opening times (off season opening at noon on work days). The exhibition is quite small but the entry is not that much, 40 crowns per adult. Kids are free. Besides this, it's a really nice little to just walk a bit. This reconstructed Viking-era ring fortress is built on the site (rediscovered in 1988 during a construction project) of an original structure built over a thousand years ago. Most people will experience the site as a public (in other words, there’s no charge to walk around the reconstructed fort). As such, it stimulates one’s historical consciousness to envision how such a site would have appeared as Harald Bluetooth established his domain over Skåne. Thereafter, Trelleborg and Skåne which would remain part of Denmark for nearly seven centuries. A fascinating museum. I wouldn't have expected it beforehand. but it's actually awesome. It takes you back in time. Telling history about vikings. The staff is very friendly. On a sidenote, I learned to make fire with a flintstone and steel. Pretty awesome. Well worth the time and money. This place got a lot of potential for tourism and those people who are interested in vikings stories. However, when I was there, everything was closed, and no one to help with information. The surrounding countryside adds to the authentic atmosphere of the site. A must-visit for history buffs like me. I highly recommend this museum. The exhibition was about Norse mythology and the Viking era. It was pretty didactic and well organised. The price was good too and there is a small cafeteria. Great little visitor centre. Would've liked the staff to tell me a little of the history. Also was annoying that there was no access to see inside the longhouse which I was really looking forward to. Nice but very short visit. The entry is 60 kr. You got a little exposition (2 rooms), a nice area where a few vikings can talk with you, games, stilt and a wooden wall. Great for children. You can eat ice cream or take cake and coffee. Lovely place but dont expect too much and plan to maybe stay one hour at best. We arrived too late and the “museum” was closed but the outside was nice Lovely and spacious place! Both kids and adults enjoyed the atmosphere. Small but informative with nice video installations. Nice souvenir shop where we got hand-made wooden viking swords with engravings. Boys were happy 😆 Very friendly personnel. Small museum, expected more information. The staff is polite and the outside is very beautiful. When we visited the houses outside were locked. I managed to peek inside the small one but i would love to learn more about how the Vikings lived and how their houses were. As a park, it's great and beautiful, but as a or anything tourism related, it's not worth the stop. The was closed so we simply visited the fort. The fortress is in the shape of a semicircle and it overlooks a park, it's probably part of the park. You can visit it for free but the little cottage is some kind of exposition or but I don't thinkp it is worth the 60SEK.
