As I do not speak Portuguese, I still have no idea what I ordered. But all of it was great 😄 I thought everyone was lovely. My grilled ham and cheese with white wine was perfect after a long camino day! Extraordinary server - really jolly man. Beautiful to watch the sunset in. 10/10 A really great cafe in the central square. The service is so friendly and lovely and the sandwiches are a yummy snack! Perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere. I never leave bad reviews but…If you’re on the Camino (and don’t speak Portuguese) and want a bite, I don’t recommend it. I felt they didn’t want to serve me and didn’t make the smallest effort to serve me..and even people around me realised that and tried to help me because they felt bad so I decided to leave…worst treatment I had in Portugal, shame because I went to the place next door and they were lovely there! Didn’t have the food have some wine and it was pretty amazing. The man helping us was really funny and liked to joke a lot which is a nice change for the Portugal area. His smile was a welcoming surprise. Great pricing and atmosphere right in the main square. We came here spontaneously to grab some drinks. After some communication hurdles we managed to get our order across and overall waited for about 15 min from sitting down to having our drinks served. (And yess we were german pilgrims, I really don't know where this nationality thing, everyone in the reviews writes about, is coming from since there was no different treatment for us.) We didn't have any food so I can't leave a statement on that. The prices were actually pretty low (at least for the rather simple drinks) Overall a pleasant experience in a very nice surrounding! Terrible service. Terrible coffee (when it finally arrived after they have deliberately served all the Portuguese first! Then getting ripped and paying tourist prices for coffee. AVOID!! Service with a scowl. They overcharge all the Camino walkers as well. Go to 10D next door. The best coffee in Caminha and friendly staff who don’t rip you off!
