A lovely mixed woodland with a view over to the sea. We walked from Heacham, but there is a little car park with a picnic area. There is a 6'6" height barrier at the entrance to the car park. The best woodland to be had in Norfolk as far as I know... Love this place it's quiet and scenic out of the busier areas some beautiful areas Inc cliffs so watch small children .. in some areas but the trees are so vibrant and there is also a path through fields to the sea . Nice Woods for dog walking. Beautiful woods containing some heathland habitat. Plenty of route choices and main paths are wide, but some paths at the car park end are narrow due to overgrown vegetation so watch out for the sticking nettles! Absolutely glorious. Free parking and never busy. Well signposted for the circular trail and lots of other little paths to meander at leisure. Unspoilt nature at its best See picture for what three words address for free car park, although pretty straightforward using postcode on google maps anyway. Beware there is a height restriction on the car park 6.6” I think it was for those visiting with top boxes on! Had a nice family here with the dogs today. Went on the Ken Hill circular which was nice, although does cross a busy road twice which spoilt it a bit. Underfoot it’s a wood, so what you would expect, tree roots, muddy and slippery when wet. The itself is well signposted to keep you on track. The Ken Hill is approx 4.5km and took us about 1 1/2 hrs at a leisurely pace. Good on a rainy day as the trees somewhat protected us from the rain. Nice and would recommend a visit if in the area. The Dogs loved it! Brilliant for walking with your dog and free parking, 🐾❤️ Free parking Great place to take your dog(s) for Lovely wark. Circa 4 mule circular covering the nature reserves and beach. Beautiful We have just returned from Snettisham Woods and have had a very enjoyable with our dog. On a sunny day like today it was completely enjoyable, partly shaded, partly in sunshine. It was lovely walking in so many different sorts of trees, some very big and some of them only young saplings. Well worth a visit, especially on a lovely day like today. Nice little stop, lovely woodland walks, great for dog walking Gets busy, but extra little overflow carpark too Lovely 😃 It's clean and free parking Table for barbecue Waklt true the forest to the sea side I love this place already 😊 Lovely walk. Since local rewiilding it's worth mentioning that there is a lots less space for letting dogs run off lead. Found this circular by chance at Snettisham took about 1 hr walking it Lovely woodland walk, easy under foot and plenty of things for my cocker spaniel to do. A perfect place for a walk. Well maintained but in a way that doesn't detract from the nature. Beautiful heathers. Dog friendly.
