We looked at my list of things to see, to check if the Verona card makes sense, and if all attractions are open. I also got useful tips. Overall it saved me both time and money, to start my Verona adventure in that office. Really helpful , by phone or on arrival. Proper old fashioned service. Friendly too. Seems like a solid place if you're purchasing tour packages - or aching for a hard sell. First time in Verona, looking for straightforward on bus tickets; the woman helping me pushed only in the direction of a Verona Card - over and over again. When I specifically explained I knew the route and was looking for two tickets, she said I should buy them there because I could not pay on the bus or buy them from the driver. (You can purchase bus tickets from the driver in cash, tap a card on the bus, or use the Verona bus app.) This is much less and much more tourist trap that does not need the misleading lies to be just what it is. You can buy the Verona-Care here, which is simply a must if you plan on visiting lots of local sights. With the Verona-Card you get into most museums, cathedrals etc for 'free'..the card itself costs 20€ for 24hours or 25€ for 48 hours, saved us quite some money! On a school trip to Verona, we found a young “Common Swift”, a special kind of bird, sitting on the ground. Too young to fly, it would have died by the heat or been killed by a cat if we hadn’t taken it with us and to the tourist information. The employees at the counter were very kind and did a good job at helping us. After contacting various organizations and the police in order to find out what would be best for the young bird, an environmental association picked up the bird in the end. I do highly recommend the tourist because of their kindness and language skills. (We don’t speak Italian.) Moreover I’m convinced they know very well giving you the best and advice for visiting Verona, as they were very quick and competent at “navigating” and calling the different associations.
