There are good and poor points for this course. The green fees are inexpensive. During the week it didn't seem particularly busy. The course itself is quite challenging with some difficult drives to the fairway from the white tees. Anyone with a short game or having difficulty off the tee should use forward tees. The course can get very wet and when we played the greens were some of the slowest I've ever played. The worst course I have ever played. I last played here 10 years ago and it was quite pleasant, I remember it being a well maintained, nice short course that rewards good shots. Yesterday will be the last time I visit. It is now badly run and in desperate need of investment or even direction. Trying to get them to answer the phone for 3 days should have been an indicator of what was to come. The greens are the worst I have seen, the photo is of the 1st green that welcomed us, it only got worse. The teeboxes were a better putting surface. It appears they had tried to hollow tine them, a couple of times by the look of it but no topdressing and certainly haven't been rolled. It was impossible to putt... it was actually comedic. Fairways rock hard even though they have water on site, rough out of control, weeds in the bunkers, in fact the weeds on the greens were some of the only greenery. The buggy barely got round and the suspension is trashed. First buggy was out of charge and took 20 minutes to find someone to give us the keys.. several people looking for someone and even after arriving 40 minutes before my tee time, we only arrived on the tee at the designated time. All in all a disaster and will never venture back. Sad as I had fond memories from playing there 10 years ago. Played in our society day today 23rd Aug and was WELL impressed 👏 arrived 8.15pm was warmly welcomed by all the staff especially the 'lady boss' fantastic breakfast ....out for around on the course...in great nick I may add back in for a great meal after ...by the way the chilli was brill as was all meals had by the others. All in all,a fantastic day at Little lakes great service,great staff and many thanks to 'lady boss ' will definitely be there again,once again many many thanks 👍👌 Want to play the same hole three times? Then this is the course for you! This was a lovely 18 hole course a few years ago but now, it feels like the owners have given up turning it into a 9 hole course. Only reason for the 2 stars is because it is cheap at £12. Testing golf course tucked away in the Shropshire hills which is also a caravan/mobile home park. This course will test golfers of all standards and you'll have to think yourself around some of the holes. Greens are slick and quick but it is quite hilly to get around so consider having a buggy unless you are reasonably fit. The clubhouse is well appointed and priced competitively and the golf isn't too expensive either. DO NOT PLAY HERE Worst golf course I have ever played. The fairway is a rough and the rough is a lost cause. The greens are horrible, holes aren’t trimmed at all. we booked carts and they said no carts available but on the course there were so many carts driving around. Horrible place not worth your mental health which will detoriate here Rip off caravan, lodge owners ripped off goto solicitor to a industry body miss sold a holiday home no win no fee nothing to lose we have Well maintained greens and fun to play - although be prepared for the hills!
