Visited for a wake after funeral. Feels like made from the same cookie cutter as all clubs, so pleasant but bland, with the added benefit of crater sized holes all over the car park. Nice. Overall an excellent place for a charity day (Sanctus). Very pleasant course. Tee boxes were in excellent condition. Most were lovely but very fast due to dry spell. Food before & after was excellent too. Thx for a great day parkland course. Nice clubhouse with food. Course in reasonable although some poor but many clubs struggling post the dry Summer. Spike bar poorly located - tiny and with views of walls two metres away. Why not swap to another location closer to the course and with an outlook? Well maintained course. Quite interesting. Let op: je mag niet met golfschoenen in het clubhuis, maar er is dan wel weer een andere bar waar dat wel mag! Had such a nice time at braintree club. Started with breakfast then played the course with friends. Course was in great luckily had a very game. Later had a drink in the clubhouse ,staff were so polite. All in all lovely day. By the way the pro shop is fantastic and the young man looking after it was very helpful. Nothing to tell really just delivering drinks. Great course vg condition. Course was dry due to the long hot spell but tee boxes and in very condition. Very friendly atmosphere and nice clubhouse. Tree lined fairways and a few lakes make this and interesting course to play. Too far away to play regularly for me. But if you are in the area I'd recommend it. Great course & quite tough with some tricky holes, played one a day when all the leaves were falling so very difficult to find your ball when just off the fairway. are quite quick and subtle breaks. Hidden water hazards can catch you out, worth a visit. As a pro I love this course. Great new white sanded bunkers, A must play course in Essex and very friendly. What a fantastic track , and tee boxes are fantastic, clubhouse had selection of food and drink, pro shop very well stocked and very friendly Superb course, played on a reciprocal from my club Clacton On Sea. Made to feel amazingly welcome, had a tour from the Head professional Peter. Course was in fantastic condition, it was tough, really made you think and the were pure and very fast. Brilliant day with amazing company. Had a great time at Braintree club today, with not having much relax time we decided to make a day of it. Service in the bar was superb, the young ladys were very observant noticed us everytime we needed something. The food was coffee was very nice. The course was in considering all the bad weather we have had . were in amazing condition, although repairing everyone else's pitch marks was not fun. Shot 2 under par today so played well. Quick call to Braintree GC, Liam said pop in whenever. Couldn't have asked for better service from the knowledgeable Liam, chatted for an hour walked out with clubs re-gripped and 3 new wedges. Great salesman, lovely gentleman. Think I'll have to join. The grounds were immaculate with the in the best condition. The course is of a manageable distance with just enough dog legs to make it interesting.
