Location was pretty with a beautiful german town which didn’t seem to have had any touristic influence. It was really quiet and the river nearby was worth to walk to. BUT my bed had yellow stains, and a lot. Other than that the rooms were good and the house was good. But it’s not nice to feel gross while sleeping. And they gave me the wrong cushion cover, it was too small for the cushions. So everything was great except the bed. (although it was a comfortable bed) I liked the experience and overall value for money as I only used their area. I did not like the dealing of lady on the payment counter. She seems to me little bit unfriendly with foreigners and me and my family felt it . We went there 2 days and both days found strange dealing. But all in all place itself was good fun for kids once you go inside. Water temperature was also very ideal for kids. Nice houses. Older but well kept. Nice swimmingpool area with cool areas for children Landal Salztal Paradies in Bad Sachsa is a fantastic family-friendly getaway in the Harz region. The houses are spacious and comfortable. It has a great water park, and has easy access to scenic hiking trails. This Landal park is a perfect spot for both relaxation and outdoor fun. Highly recommended!! Nice house (lucky to be at the entrance so no stairs) and close to the swimming pool. Not much to do in the area. Long drives for some tourist entertainment. But we should have looked into it ourselves in advance. Nice reception and even some Dutch speaking people there. On tuesday I tried to contact Landal about arriving outside reception hours. The number was unreachable so I emailed them.They emailed back shortly and said it’s okay to arrive outside reception hours and the key for our booking should be inside the safe and they sent us the code for the safe. I then indicated I would arrive on Wednesday on their website. On Wednesday (an hour ago) we arrived at Landal salztal after a 8h drive from the Netherlands with our 3 small kids and opened the safe: Nothing inside! We pressed the button for information three times and they hang up on us and told us to go to the swimming pool. The women at the said she did not have a key and tried to call the reception number. I then tried to call some telephone numbers online but also unreachable. No one picked up. The swimmingpool lady told us to go back to the safe and press the button for information again. However information was very rude again and said they could not do anything and to go back to the pool. Mind you, we stood here with three small kids (ages 0 to 4!) who just sat in a car for 8hrs and were ready for dinner. The lady at the rang a colleague and fortunately he had an emergency key to open the appartement. Since the key was an emergency we could not have it, so we could not go out for dinner. This was a stressful start of our holiday and not at all what we expected. The apartment itself looks nice and the area as well, the lady and her colleague was very nice and lifesavers! Hopefully the rest of the holiday will be better and we will get a key tomorrow. For now we are very disappointed how things went and how information treated us.
