Very interesting place! I was at an event that is not part of the usual program, but I could tell that place is worth seeing. It's really not so nice . The guides kind of force you to go along a certain route and you can not see much, except tress overgrown with ivy. They stop at the photo boards and basically repeat what you can read for yourself. There is a time limit and I feel my time could have been better spent if I could wander along on my own. A must see place. The lights' spectacle was an incredible experience which transfers you to another "dimension". And I believe we shall the place during the day at least a few more times. We took our kids there for the light show and it was really worth it - I recommended it to many friends of mine afterwards. Since the was during the dark hours of the day I made a promise to myself that I will this place again during the days when there is no light show, so that I can see it from a different perspective. Amazing place, so much animals, preserved buildings, and flora! Definetly worth seeing! Pleasant and relaxing experience around the beautiful hunting once used by the Bulgarian royalty + a of the royal home. Our guide was very friendly. Only wish we had more time to explore the park. Recommend for a leisure weekend activity. Some practical advice: (1) You can only enter the with a guide. There are two tours per day, so make sure to check the schedule and be on time; (2) Bring insect repellent. There are mosquitos even during the day. These little tormentors just love the shades in the summer! The place (e.g. the buildings) badly needs repairment/renovation, but the light show that takes place in the every evening till the beginning of November's is very nice and justifies the visit. Great place for adults and kids! The guide shares very interesting information in a pleasant talk during an exiting walk! It’s impressive to see the authenic atmospere inside the palace and also in the park, well as the great variety of plants. Place worth to visit. History, beautiful nature, very friendly stuff. The duration is 1,5h. 14leva entrance and half price for students. You can’t enter by yourself is every 2 hours with guidance. I recommend it!!!
