Visiting for the carshow and gardens open day. I appreciate the fact that the proceeds are going to charity, thankyou Nick Mason for that, it is appreciated, snd a wonderful event to lay on. But someboby *has* to do a better job of traffic management. We were parked 100m from the exit of the field, in the nearest row to the gate, and it still took over an hour and a half to get out if the field, with a long queue down the kane to follow. I pity those parked further away. Most of the stewards didn't seem to be doing anything, aside from two right by the gate. Too little too late. The carshow, and stalls were good, good live music and an aerobatic display. The a real treat, but prepare to have your patience tested to the absolute limit coming in and leaving. Some people were having a meltdown in the carpark and were out of their yelling at the stewards, normally I'd say 'that's not on', but genuinely, today it was deserved. Could be so much better with some organisation. This is an annual charity event, and is definitely worth visiting. Arrive early because the roads are small, and the queue of traffic are long. You could easily spend half an hour just queueing up to get in and maybe longer to get out. Don’t let that put you off though, as it is an excellent day out What a great event beautiful grounds lots of variety of stalls and plenty of motors. The event was rammed , only thing that could be improved is increase the amount of food stalls and carparking. Park outside and walk in recommended We went to the NGS , This is a beautiful property (no entry) with beautiful grounds, the main attraction is Nick Mason’s car collection and other fantastic are brought along, so lots to see. There are stall holders, and stalls raising awareness and funds for the supported charities. A great weekend whatever the weather. Children’s area too. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. Wonderful at the open day... So many things to see and watch and lots of food trucks and other side stools plus the Supercar paddock if you really want to immerse yourself in all these wonderful cars.... Only downside is going home as the lanes are really not suitable for the volume of traffic but that could have just been because Saturday was washed out and Sunday was a fine day...... We went along to the charity fund raising open day. I would highly recommend the day for any car enthusiast. The field of Supercars was spectacular, a great opportunity to appreciate a wide array of cars. Great collection of vehicles from every era on display.... Coupled with masses of traders selling everything you could think of... And all in the name of charity... Great venue and a lovely day out. Very interesting experience, nice and unique but very crowded. Need a lot of patience when you want to leave .....( took me 1 and 1/2 hours from parking to the main road) , anyway, I think it worth 😃.
