Rollestone Manor B&B, Restaurant & Cottages

Salisbury, United Kingdom Bed & breakfast

One of the Best Places To Visits in Shrewton Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. The rooms are nice. At the time of year we visited I am not sure I could recommend the location - it is in the middle of nowhere if you want to see the area without driving. There is nothing in Shrewton that we could see. I am trying to be positive about the “service” (I spend about 80 nights a year in “corporate” hotels and I know this is someone’s home - not my usual Hilton) but we arrived before the designated check in time and were sent away - on a wet Friday in Wiltshire after a 4 hour drive so I wasn’t feeling the love (the Hilton would have pointed me at the bar and told me to make myself at home - but please see my comment above!!!!). The food was ok - not great - but there was not a lot (NONE) of other choices unless you want to drive and there are no cabs in this area! I won’t rush back but please don’t avoid on my account - I have stayed at worse - and if you have reason to be in the area I am sure you will love it Everything about this place was great. Friendly attentive service from the owners and staff, immediately made us feel well one and at home. Very beautiful large rooms with all the amenities, good food and drink experience - loved the experience of sitting in the separate cosy lounge for a drink before being led to supper in the dining room. Included full breakfast next morning was high end. Very close to Stonehenge and other historical attractions. Amazing value. Definitely recommend. Beautiful historic building and location. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, highly recommend the chicken in wine sauce. The location is a quick drive to Stonehenge so it was a great place to stay after a long day of traveling and then jump start the sightseeing the next day. This was our first stop in our first international trip to England. English breakfasts are the best! Their dinner hour was exquisite and elegant. This manor is out in the country, and has a quiet atmosphere. All of the accommodations were 5+ stars. Everyone was so friendly and helpful to help us get oriented to England. A quiet B&B close to Stonehenge, the rooms are cozy and comfortable with all the basics. The hosts are charming and friendly, and the location is quiet and rural. The local village has some historic attractions, but mostly local interest. The food, however, deserves to be mentioned. Dinner service requires a reservation, even for guests, and you start in the small lounge with drinks and the menus. You order before going to you seat, and enjoy a quiet drink while admiring the knick-knacks. After being sat for dinner you are presented with food of a quality you'd expect at a five star London restaurant, except very, very hot. Each portion is a good size and the balance of flavours is exceptional. Overall, if you want a quiet getaway with your loved one (away from the kids, as there are no under 18s allowed) this is the place. Top shelf, and I will be back. Five Stars All The Way - had a one night stay back in April while on holiday, beautiful manor with rich history. The food was first class and amazing - the staff beyond friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable - "warning" if you are over six feet tall you must mind your noggin walking through doorways, and walk sideways down the steps - they didn't have tall people with big feet in mind when they built it a few centuries back! I've been telling my friends if they are to ever visit Stonehenge - this is the place to stay!
